Guide Maker's Lounge VI

50 pages, new thread.

keep making guides (lol at the publishing backlog, troll guide is outdated, but we have no choice.. well we do, but this buys us a week)

If there was to be a guide maker for League of Legends or [shun] HoN [/shun] what would you want to see in it?

it's true that it takes time to load at each "next". but only for one time. the next time you go back at them, it will be a little faster. this is based on my experience.

there is a trick actually. use two or more tabs when creating your guide. make sure one tab is your summary overview. every time you click next, or saved your work, go back to the tab with the summary overview and refresh.

keep checking if your work is saved correctly.

I would defiantly like to see less of a structured guide, maybe put in some premade titles as a template, but make them removable.

What a spammer. Has been on DS for less than half a year with over 3000 posts.

EDIT: Ghost wins in gold, but 19 posts per day avg is pretty epic.

i'm really interested with LoL (or HoN). ^_^

i wanted to create a guide for those games. but i have zero experience with them as of now. XD

i hope the next strategy builder, there is more space for the skill explanation. our current builder has only "comment" on each skill. you can only leave a message, but you can't put images or graphs. with this, guidemakers are forced to elaborate these skills in early game section (mostly at "early").

Yay new lounge! ^_^ and wow 3000 post in a half a month... i think ive been here for about the same amount of time and only 150 post (making that up) well ive only been on the forums for about 2 months or so...

as I said, troll is first in the remaining backlog, as well as being outdated it also has lost most of its pictures.

*le sigh*

I want to be able to structure my guide however I want.
an [+section] button would be awesome.

you start off with the basics, skill build / recommended item build(which will be able to be inserted directly into the game (sorta))

[+section] > title = use of Flash Frost > display : skill : Flash Frost > display : section : writing

Hmm...
A problem here with the strategy builder. I wrote about 15 minutes worth of work and clicked the "next" button. I assumed this was to save my work, however when I clicked back again to see it, it was gone. Oh NOES!! How can this be?? Confused

a [+section] button is cool, designing guides will be fun. will the "early-mid-late" sections still apply to those games?

what he posted is spam, but when you comment without actually saying anything productive (smiley spam, quoting someone else and saying agree) then that is spam, and considering you have done that a fair amount I would consider you a spammer

and just because someone posts on a topic, you don't need to respond if you don't have anything constructive to say

I heard clicking next helps it save, But I think if there is too much information on the page, it can't save. It happened to me many times. I just click next everything i get like 1 page of work or every 19 inches of work.
