Laminor Shadowstep - the Prodigy

Laminor was born into an old family of powerful magicians, able to bend time, read minds, and manipulate all things magically. Lamina, though, was special. While being trained in the ancient arts of his ancestry, it was learned of a special different skill of his. He was a prodigy at blademastery. Able to compete with the most powerful swordsmasters at a young age, Laminor soon learned how to combine his powers of sword and magic to his advantage. Now, he is nearly unstoppable, and his foes on the battlefield are amazed and confused by the myriad of blades he can manipulate to fly and seemingly have a mind of their own...

Note: Laminor is from Lamina, which means blade/ sword in latin.


Gravity Blades (r)

Laminor launches two swords at a point up to 1200 range away. Upon reaching this point, the blades turn around and travel back to him at 400 range per second, slashing as they go. When they return, they give their knowledge of their whereabouts to Laminor and he instantly teleports to where they were originally casted to.
1- 20 dps while on blades
2- 30 dps
3- 40 dps
4- 50 dps
Mana-80
CD- 5
*Does not teleport if stunned upon blade arrival.
Framework: A small glyph on ground to where they were casted so as to let others know where Laminor is about to be teleported to.

Time Blade (t)

Melds into Shadow for 2.5/3/3.5/4 seconds, becoming invisble but planting a blade in the ground that lasts for 20 seconds. If an enemy touches him (ie within 150 range of Laminor,) then Laminor quickly stabs them, drawing upon their memories, and blinks to the position where his victim was 3 seconds ago.

mana: 50
CD- 12/10/8/6
If the enemy does not touch him this time, then nothing happens. The blade in the ground may seem useless, but it is explained in discussion.



Revolution Blade (e)

Throws a blade at a target point. The blade travels a perfect circle to that point and back to the casting position. It continues in this circle for its duration. If an enemy comes in contact with it, they get dealt damage, although can only be damaged once per revolution around circle.
1- 35 dmg/ revolution
2- 50 dmg/ revolution
3- 75 dmg/ revolution
4- 90 dmg/ revolution
Max range: 1250
Min range: 250
Travels at 600 range/ second
Lasts 15 seconds
Mana: 70
CD- 4
In case you didnt notice, this is the one with the required skill mechanic.

Shadow blade (d)

Throws two swords at a target point, where they explode, dealing damage in a 300 aoe. All of Laminor's other blades on the map explode also, dealing the same amount of damage.

1- 80 dmg per blade
2- 130 dmg per blade
3- 180 dmg per blade
mana- 150
CD- 30

*****************DISCUSSION*******************

SKILLS:



CAN HAVE MORE THAN ONE SET OF BLADES TRAVELING AT SAME TIME.
Deals damage on the blades' way back only, NOT while they travel to their casted point. They would reach there nearly instantaneously anyhow.

At 400 range/ sec, casted at max range, they would take 3 seconds to reach Laminor.

THE point of this skill would be to use it, and run away fast enough to cast another before the cooldown. The blade deals minimal damage, but if you move, the blade will follow, allowing some sort of control.

This WOULD NOT work with a Boots of travel, pit lord, or any teleport. Blinks, yes.



Leaving a blade on the ground that lasts for 20 seconds would allow the enemy to see where you are hiding yes, BUT ALSO CREATE CONFUSION! If you time blade 3 times in that 20 seconds the blade lasts, the enemy would not know at which 3 of the blades you are hiding, so not know whether it is safe to run there or not.

YES, he has two blinks, but both of them are very difficult to use and could work to the enemies advantage if they are good enough, and one has technically a 3 second cast time.

Another point of a blade in the ground is so that when he uses his ultimate, this sword explodes also.



MATH TIME!
So, casted at different ranges, using the diameter of a circle, this is how many times each blade would turn in a revolution.
250- 1.3 sec rev = around 11 revolutions
750- 3.9 sec rev = around 4 revolutions
1250- 6.9 sec rev = around 2 revolutions.

Yes, this means that at 250 range, there is possible damage of 880 dmg. But this means that the enemy must first go into a little circle of 250 radius, the smallest aoe in the game, and stand there, for 15 seconds straight without moving.

Longer ranges give an ability to hit enemies farther away and more difficult for foes to predict, but also it would be easy to dodge.
Close range casts give much higher damage in a short time, but it is very easy to walk around, or dodge.
You can walk through into the middle of the circle remember, and still not be hit by the blades around you.
EASILY DODGE-ABLE


Simple skill, just explodes all blades on map, including
1) The two or more blades traveling towards Laminor from gravity blades.
2)All revolution blades.
3) blades stuck into ground from time blade teleports.
4)The two blades casted from this skill.

*************************OVERALL****************
Techniques of use:
1) Cast one or two revolution blades in a place of your choice.
2) Cast Gravity blades.
3) find an enemy, use time blade to teleport. Now grav blades take longer to get to you
4) cast another grav blades in another direction.
5) Repeat numbers 1-4 as much as possible.
6) When the enemies are placed where you want, cast shadow blade at a point.

The point would be to get off as many time/ gravity blade casts as possible before you teleport back to each point. OR to place the grav blade point where you wish to attack or fight in the near future.
Laminor is very versatile, allowing many playstyles.

This hero would be very unique in that you would basically have to set up in advance, very quickly, what you wanted to do/ where you wanted to teleport to in the battle.

KEY POINTS
- very versatile
-would require a very fast thinking player able to predict and plan out battles
- excellent juker
-low damaging attacks
-useless if enemy is smart and lucky enough to stay away from all blades at all times
- ***create confusion on battlefield***

Most of ur skill will be better if the duration is longer
1st, why u made dps,it's better instant dmg right?bcuz no one will stupidly receive that dps.(but i cant force u)
And the blade path is line right?

Very nice overall, although Ghost and I will have to kill you for a specific line which I'll let him (and you) figure out rather than tell him (or you). No, it wasn't the math, I've seen much worse math.

Your icons... I absolutely recognize them...

1. Time Blade: my old Entangling Shadow Dagger (I remove it few days ago, since Ghost ask me to change the skill system and I did a total remake of that skill. Now it becomes Ring of Shadow Curse with different icon)

2. Shadow Blade: my passive, signature skill: Shadow Slashers, still use it until now...

that's okay, since we obtained them from the same website, and they're public-usable. since my Shadow Slashers is passive skill, I gonna edit the icon into a passive skill icon. we also use a same word for our own heroes: 'Shadow'

@chaos throne: the whole point of this hero is many attacks that deal almost no damage, but by placement and mega short cooldowns, will be better. Not to mention the ultimate.
Also, you said remove the blink on the meld. That is the complete opposite of the intention, and removes all capabilities for the first skill to do anything. If anything i will remove the damage and make the duration longer.
And the 3rd skill, it may have soem good damage, but think about it- the blade is only the outside of a circle, walk into it, and you dont take damage. So 4 is not a bad limit, makes for some better use of the ulti.
@shimmra_3: wtvr i did, im sorry, seriously.... plz tell me what it is lol and ill change it. Was it something to do with the mechanic.?
Shimm... got any real comments lol? need some good opinions for change or no change.
@enhander: yes, i have to add hp and mp.... but those dont matter that much since you yourself can calculate it using the str and int. I will add later. Thnx
