Posted on Tue Sep 22, 2009 1:08 pm1.Starcraft - I think after the release of SC2, it will be pretty dead but hey, at least it will go to the hall of fame classics!
2.Counter-Strike - There are many FPS games out there and CS is pretty outdated, even when there are tournaments, I rarely see it played since there are other FPS games like CoD4, Operation FLashpoint... etc.
3.WC3 TFT - After SC2 I think, and I RARELY see it played. (Even though I see it played in tournaments.)
4.DotA(?) - After HoN or LoL I think, but I heard from gosugamers forums that Icefrog has hopes for DotA in the future and will make it's own standalone.. Well, who knows?
What do you guys think?

CS is still a favorite at shops.. so the most definite death here would be starcraft.. but I won't forget starcraft's nasty graphics..

Funny, I searched for the exact same thing yesterday and you put a poll on it today. Now here is the chart of search volume by Google Trends.
We can see that CS is going down
, starcraft is constant 
while DotA is growing like Hell! 
I guess LoL and HoN are only going to add to the popularity of DotA.!

Most votes for Counter strike?
Even 1.6 wont die, Pros still play 1.6 and havent even moved to source, CoD4 is completely differant play style, no as much tactics and skill involved.
Starcraft will die with Warcraft TFT when SC2 comes out.

I believe people are only gonna stay in WC3 for Dota and some random other maps... and the old faithfuls to the classical melee maps!
As for SC original, it will die again when the sequel comes out, but I'm sure nostalgia will hit some people... HARD. Personally, I just don't like the way Blizzard is releasing each race's campaign in 3 separate games.
CS might be in decline, but it should remain popular. It brought a new name to FPS, and it's a simple game to set up and play.

in my country cs source is never alive..and cs 1.6 get a tough competitor and dying to hold it's position as online shooting game (Point blank)
hon and lol haven't growing here, and actually lots of us hate paying too much to play, so dota will exist for a long long time here
starcraft will die first because of sc2 but obviously sc is rarely played here (compare with dota)
