Welcome all NBA fanatics! The training camp has already started and it's about time we start our random predictions!

Who is going to take it all this year?

Who is the MVP?

Will Shaq Daddy bring the trophy back to rock star town?

Agent Zero's comback?

Is Griffin going to make a worthy #1 pick?

Will Orland, Denver have the success they had last year?

Who will be the black horse?

Will Toronto "actually" and I mean actually make the play offs??

SooOOOOOooOOOooOOOO many questions! What do you think?

ps. Lakers Repeat

Innocent

@Saiyuki
I don't think Lebron James would repeat as MVP. With Shaq there, his numbers would be limited (limited fast breaks and rebounding). Lebron would still put up quite a number but it would be lower compared to last season.

As for Dwayne, he would have a lot to prove this season because of the impending free agency market next year. He would either try to pressure the Heat into signing stars or role players to strengthen the team or move to a contender team himself. Either case, he would try to prove this year that he's a great player and that he deserves to win and hence, MVP-quality numbers.

@Flodian

Nah, predictions would be better.

Just 12 players. We can make it... wester and easter too I guess. Limiting the cost is kinda rigged, cause you can have a team like the Griz who are super poor.. or you can like the Nets who is now the richest team in the NBA. xD And

@reborn

I totally agree with you, thats why I think the Cavs are gonna be done this year. Lebron, West and Mo are good when they run. That ain't happening with Shaq. Just look at the Suns. Their under 7 seconds or shaq plan totally failed. xD And shaq is one year older but not one year better.

They should have just traded for Richard Jefferson or Amare. At least both are mobile and can play either PF or C. Even though, they still wouldn't be able to match up against Dwight, they can hold them up at least and they're not a liability in scoring. The key to stopping Dwight is team defense and not one-on-one post match-up (The Lakers showed it in the Finals).

Also, the key important weakness of the Cavs is the coach. Mike Brown is too limited in offense (granted that he's an okay defensive specialist though). He is too afraid to go against Lebron that's why he centers the offense on him. The Cavs whole offense philosophy is, "Give the ball to Lebron and just be prepared to shoot when he passes".

The actual reason why the Cavs won 60+ games last season is that they actually played, "team ball". Guys like Mo Williams, Delonte West were actually allowed to make the play other than Lebron (still he ball-hogs most of the time). I don't know why they shifted back to, "Give Lebron the Ball and F*9c away" in the playoffs.

Anyway, that's their main key weakness. So Cavs, if you're reading this, kick Mike Brown out and hire a coach who can stand up to Lebron. Chuck Daly? Anyone?

lol Chuck Daly will destry Large BJ's ego. ^_^ And actually I think they just got Shaq so they will have more cap space next season to keep Large BJ.

@Flodian
Yeah, that's why he's a perfect coach for Lebron. I actually like Lebron, don't get me wrong but he's still immature. He is still young, I know but he should learn that to be a real 'star', you not only have to make yourself better but also teammates around you better.

I know a lot of people would try to argue with me that he makes a lot of assist and all but those assist are deceiving. Those assists were made from isolation plays or pick-and-rolls for Lebron. The Cavs' plays are basically Lebron gets the ball, someone sets up a screen for him, he either drives and scores a dunk or shoots a jumper or when someone double teams him, he passes to an open man and that man shoots the ball. There's no ball rotation whatsoever. And THERE GOES YOUR GOD MIGHTY LEBRON ASSIST.

With Chuck Daly there, Lebron will learn to play team-ball and will learn to actually deter to his teammates. And that will make him a better player.

@Divine Warrior

Amare is not a post player. He's actually a face up center (he doesn't have a go to post move and he relies on his athleticism and hops). On defense, he goes for 'highlights' (blocks) and that leaves him open to fouls. To contain Dwight, you just have to move him away from the post and harass him. Amare doesn't have the mentality to do that. He's actually a 'lazy' player when it comes to defense.

Who is going to take it all this year?
Lakers
Who is the MVP?
Dwayne Wade
Will Shaq Daddy bring the trophy back to rock star town?
No.
Agent Zero's comback?
Possible.
Is Griffin going to make a worthy #1 pick?
Yes.
Will Orland, Denver have the success they had last year?
Yes
Will Toronto "actually" and I mean actually make the play offs??
No.

I am a Die Hard Lakers Fan from the old school.
Obviously I will be hoping for a Laker's Repeat and I believe it is very possible. Although I love Ariza, Ron Artest will be a huge boost to the Laker's lacking defense.
To those who think Lebron will be MVP; it is very rare and almost unheard of for a player to be awarded the MvP 2 years in a row.
Cleveland IMO will not win it this year. Shaq will make or break the team in terms of chemistry (I am leaning more towards break despite the fact he played "decently" in Phx).
Unless you follow the NBA well you will be blinded to the fact that the Cavs are not an amazing team. Their loss to the Magic last year was no surprise (LOL at Moe Williams "We're gnna take it at Game 5"). The only thing keeping their team in the Playoffs is Lebron. Take it from me...one God-like player cannot win a Championship. Take a look at Kobe 04-07, he Avg'd 27,35, and 31 respectively and the Lakers made no headway on the road to a Championship. Do not get me wrong, I love Lebron as well but he is Over Rated.

Keep the NBA discussing going! I love it! GO LAKERS! Very Happy

@Reborn7
Laker fan?
I hope so! Very Happy
I hope that it is LA vs Boston in the Finals. I need to see a pounding after that HORRIBLE! TERRIBLE! HEINOUS! 07-08 Finals.
You seem very knowledgeable in basketball. Props dude! 8]
@MZA
It is "Black Mamba" xP
@Divine
Sorry dude but I am going to have to disagree. I seriously doubt that Amare could go Toe to Toe with Dwight. He may be able to dunk on Dwight, or get around Dwight, but going Toe to Toe is a different matter.

MB for double post. Expected someone to respond before I posted. :T
