Number wise or skill wise?
I would agree Number wise..sorta..Kobe doesn't put AMAZING numbers up anymore.
He'll Avg 20-25 points, 6-8 assists, 5 boards, and 2 steals..he's not about being Goku anymore. He has a team he can count on and will work more on assists and drawing a million fouls.
Now Lebron..he'll put super numbers and lead the league on triple doubles.
I'd put Kevin Durant at a Dirk Nowitzski stat level. :]

I wouldn't say worst..but the fact that they'll barely scrap the playoffs if at all is no secret. I used to respect them so much. :[

Just curious..does anyone love Dwayne Wade?
Aside from Kobe, I think he has the most talent in the league right now. Sorry Cavs fans..all I can say is flame away. :[

I can agree that the team was way better last year... i don't think the shaq trade was succesful, at all.
Anyway Vote Durant for the MPV! XD
last year he should have been in like the 5th 6th spot.. that kid doesn't get the attention he deserves.

I think it's too soon to talk about trade fails, but he's certainly not putting up the numbers the Cavs thought he would, but then again Artest isn't either. :[
I would have to disagree with Durant being a underrated, the league just wants to give him more time. Wanna talk underrated? Brandon Roy, Kevin Martin, Chris Bosh, Caron Butler..minus Brandon Roy these guys have all played in the league 5+ years and people have never heard of em. Ah well.

durant didn't get a spot in the top 10 for mvp last year cause of his team failing >.<
I have to agree on martin bosh and butler, but for roy no. he gets the deserved attention imo. What's common with caron kevin and chris is that their teams haven't actually been the definition of bright in the past 5 years...

Yeah..the sad truth.
Your team's performance affects your chances for season MVP.
The Blazers haven't been "bright" as you say for near a decade now as well.
But I get your point. Brandon Roy needs to step it up another notch to be considered MVP. I guess being an Olympic candidate is plenty of recognition.XD

Sad and stupid. So a players talent is judged if his team fails too much?
one man can't carry his team alone. Basketball is most of all a team game.
To be able to carry your team alone, you must be a bit of kobe,wade,lbj,howard and paul together. Durant last year had like a streak of 6 games with 30 plus point if i can remember correctly. that's not worth one spot in top ten?

Kobe Avg'd 30 points, 7 boards, 6 assist and 2 steals for the whole season AND went 9 consecutive games scoring 40+ each in the 02-03 season.
He came 3rd in the race for MVP.
I only remember this (and no I didn't memorize the stats..only the points :]) because it was the year Kobe scored 9 consecutive 3pointers and broke the record for most in one game scoring 12. Yeah I know..Amazing. XD

woah truly a hardcore kobe fan >.< I was reading the columns of the dude that decided the top ten, and all i ever read was to be mvp you have to be on a great team blah blah blah. lies. =D

Yeap. I am definitely a Hardcore Laker fan.
I love basketball. I know it front and back.
This is the reason why I get ticked when people compare Lebron to Kobe.

No offense to Lebron/Cavs fans on this.
I just had to get this off my chest.

Kobe has accomplished so many things that Lebron has not.
Don't even bring up the topic of age..give him 100 years and he still won't accomplish em.
He'll never hit 81 points, he won't score double digit three pointers in one game let alone 12, he won't make 28 field goals in one game, he won't make 23 free throws in one game.. and that's just for starters. Man to Man..he cannot be guarded. Believe me, Lebron and better defenders have tried..only to be faced, jayed, owned, or however you want to phrase it. Lebron is known for smashing into the post for the 1 hand jam..Kobe weaves through penetrating the defense for the difficult shot off the glass. Don't get me wrong. I like Lebron and he will definitely be contending for best player in the league with D-Wade..but AFTER Kobe leaves.
Look up what All-Star status players think about Kobe Bryant and who's the best in the league today.
95% will say Kobe. Including Lebron.

If this little introduction in the "why Kobe is better than Lebron" argument is not enough to convince you..PM me and we will discuss away!

Again..No Offense to Lebron fans.

True, if Kobe had a team like the Cavs, he would be carrying his team with 35+ a game and dropping 81 on Toronto all day.

Oh yeah, it seems that the Raptor's win over Cleveland was a fluke.
