Hong Mao- The Elemental Panderen. [ First Oct BC!] Complete!



Well this was semi-inspired by the Oct BC and thread I read a while back about an agility/fire Panda. This is also my very first Hero Idea so Please Comment

Hero Icon


Range: 100 | Move Speed: 305
Primary: Int
Str: 21 + 1.5 | Agi: 15 + 1.3 | Int: 15+ 1.0
Damage: 56 - 61 | HP: 497 | Mana: 297
HP Regen: 0.75 | Mana Regen: 0.79
Attack Speed: 1.45 | Armor: 2

Background

The Panderen once lived in peace at a remote island. One day explorers came and took over the land. A young warrior decided to take his land back. He called upon the Protecting Spirits to aid him. After defeating the invaders he traveled the lands looking for other Panderen brethren. He met Mangix, who worked as a Brewmaster.
He also met Rajin, who can control lightning. He decides to help Mangix and Rajin in their war and defeat the Scourge.


Skills


Element Shift

He received three guardian spirits. He can call upon the guardian spirit and learn the skills and abilities of that spirit.

This image is for skill upgrade screen.

1- Passive: Main Attribute +4
2- Passive: Main Attribute +8
3- Passive: Main Attribute +12
4- Passive: Main Attribute +16

Manacost (for element switch): 50
Cooldown: 60/50/40/30

Notes: You have three heroes in one. Each one has a different attribute. The elements are Earth Element, Water Element, Fire Element. Earth: Str, Water: Int, Fire: Agi. Only skill you can get on lvl 1

Framework: Your robe will change color depending on the elements. Blue for water, Brown for Earth, Red for Fire. When you first get this skill you start off as the Earth Element Panda and you have the other two elements on the middle two slots for bottom-right slots.


Skill One

Icon for skill upgrade screens.


There are different skills for each Element.

Notes: You can get this at lvl 2. (To force you to get Element Shift lvl 1.)

Skill Two (Like my creative names?)

Notes: You can get this at lvl 2.

Hidden Power
Your Ultimate.

Fire Element

Range: 100, Attribute: Agi

Skill 1

Flame Cyclone

The Fire Spirit spins around Hong Mao creating a tornado of fire which sucks and burns all thats within.



1- AOE 350. Last 3 seconds.
2- AOE 400. Last 3.5 seconds.
3- AOE 450. Last 4.5 seconds.
4- AOE 500. Last 5 seconds.

Manacost: 50/75/100/125
Cooldown: 30

Notes: This works like Enigmas Ult but weaker and a smaller AOE. This is a channeling spell. Enemies can still attack but cannot cast spells.
Framework: A tornado surrounds you and pulls in enemies next to you.


Skill 2

Firey Soul

The spirit burn all that is around. It also heats the ground burning their feet and slowing enemies retreat.



1- Immolation 30 dmg/s and 5% slow
2- Immolation 40 /s and 10% slow
3- Immolation 50 /s and 15% slow
4- Immolation 60 /s and 15% slow
Notes: Passive skill. Synergy well with Flame Cyclone.
Framework: Immolations has a 100 AOE and the slow aura has a 500 AOE


Ultimate

Meteor Strike

The fire spirit can call upon the very heaven's to send down a fireball which will burn and crush everything in its wake.



1- 300 AOE, 2 second delays. Deals 300 damage and stuns for 2 seconds.
2- 300 AOE, 1 second delays. Deals 350 damage and stuns for 2.5 seconds.
3- 300 AOE, 0.5 second delays. Deals 400 damage and stuns for 3 seconds.

Manacost: 100/150/200
Cooldown: 90/75/60


Notes: Good for setting up your Flame Cyclone
Framework: A Lucent beam light shines on the middle of target area until meteor strikes. The meteor is like Warlock’s ultimate but Orange and the impact looks like Lina’s stun.



Water Element

Range:500, Attribute: Int

Skill 1

Water Link

Hong Mao launches the water spirit. On contact it chills the enemies to the core. If touched twice the spirit will encase the enemies in ice.



1- Bounces 2 times. Deals 100 damage on target. Deals -10% damage each bounce. Slows enemies by 10%.
2- Bounces 3 times. Deals 125. -10% each bounce. Slows enemies by 10%.
3- Bounces 4 times. Deals 150. -10% each bounce. Slows enemies by 15%.
4- Bounces 5 times. Deals 150. -10% each bounce. Slows by 15%.

Manacost: 80
Cooldown: 10
Cast Range: 500
Bounce Range: 300

Notes: Is a chain lightning but slows enemies on hit. Slow lasts 3 seconds.
Framework: Looks like Medusa’s Mystic snake. When slowed enemies have blue hue.


Skill 2

Aqua Bolt

Hong Mao throws an orb of water. If he throws it at his allies the spirit imbues some of the water from healing fountains and heal his allies. If thrown at enemies the spirit solidifies the water which will deal damage on impact.



Launches a projectile at a target. Can target allies.

1- Deals 100 damage or heals 50hp.
2- Deals 150 damage or heals 75hp.
3- Deals 200 damage or heals 100hp.
4- Deals 300 damage or heals 150hp

Manacost: 100
Cooldown: 20
Cast Range: 800

Notes: This skills is your nuke/heal.
Framework: This looks like Vengeful Spirit’s Magic Missile but with a more blue tint.


Ultimate

Tsunami Wave

The spirits control over water is so great it can call on the moisture within the ground to create a tidal wave that pushes and damages all in its path.



Creates a tall wave that pushes enemy units away from you.

1- Deals 250 damage and travels 500 pixels.
2- Deals 300 damage and travels 600 pixels.
3- Deals 400 damage and travels 700 pixels.

Manacost: 200/225/250
Cooldown: 60

Notes: This skill is for escaping or for ganking. When you show up behind an enemy and push them to your allies.
Framework: Like Invoker’s Deafening Blast. A wave appears in front of you (This is a target spell but you can target the ground like Impale)


Earth Element

Range: 100, Attribute: Str

Skill 1

Nature’s Defence

Hong Mao wraps himself in a layer of earth. When in danger he double's the amount of dirt but, because of the weight. slows him down.



1- Passive: Boost armor by 2 and Max hp by 50. Active: Double armor and Block 1 Spell. MS -50%
2- Passive: Boost armor by 4 and Max hp by 100. Active: Double armor and Block 1 Spell. MS -40%
3- Passive: Boost armor by 6 and max hp by 150. Active: Double armor and Block 2 spells. MS -30%
4- Passive: Boost armor by 8 and max hp by 200. Active: Double armor and Block 2 spells. MS -20%

Manacost: 50
Cooldown: 20

Notes: Active buff lasts 10 seconds or until it blocks 1/1/2/2 spells.
Framework: Looks like living armor but it is brown. Automatically casts onto yourself. Self-cast only.


Skill 2

Boulder Toss

Throw's a boulder at an enemy. Causing enemies to be crused under the weight.



1- Deals 100 damage and stuns for 2 seconds in a 50 AOE around target.
2- Deals 100 damage and stuns for 2 seconds in a 75 AOE around target.
3- Deals 150 damage and stuns for 2 seconds in a 100 AOE around target.
4- Deals 200 damage and stuns for 2 seconds in a 150 AOE around target.

Manacost: 75
Cooldown: 8
Cast Range: 500

Notes: Your Nuke/ Stun.
Framework: This skill is like Tiny’s toss but in a lower arc. Throw’s a boulder.


Ultimate

Earthen Spike

The earth element has power even over the earth. The spirit causes a mountain to grow beneath Hong Mao. This causes enemeis around to loose their footing and being crushed by the rubble created through the change.



1- Deals up to 400 damage and slow or stuns depending on proximity. You are unable to move for 2 seconds after casting
2- Deals up to 500 damage and slows or stuns depending on proximity. You are unable to move for 1 second after casting.
3- Deals up to 600 damage and slows or stuns depending on proximity. You are unable to move for 1 second after casting.

Manacost 100/200/300
Cooldown 120

Notes: This is your wide area damaging skill. Use it as an intiator or finishing move because if you use it at the wrong time you wont be able to move for then next 2/1/1 second.
Framework: A 600 AOE mountain appears at your current location with you at the “apparent summit”. The damage dealt is like Razor’s Plasma Field but opposite. The closer the enemies are the more damage is dealt. Enemies within a 200 AOE are stunned for various lengths also depending on proximity(Maximum 3 seconds). Within 600-200 AOE they are slowed. The amount slow and length of slow is dependant on the the proximity (Maximum of 50% for 5 seconds.)

Low movement speed
Low base health
Somewhat hard to hit skills (low cast range or channeling)
Low base mana (compared to other INT heroes.)


I tried to have each element fulfill a different roll.
Fire is a Chaser/DoT with its immolation and slow.

Water is the Supporter/Slow with its chain skill and heal.

Earth is a Tank/ Disabler with its Armor/Hp bonus and 2 second disable.

Synergy

I tried to make so each element acts independently but there are a few noticeable synergies between two elements and within one element.

Fire element



Meteor sets up your Cyclone which, combined with Imolation is a lot of damage.

Earth Element



This is a burst damage version of the fire element combo. Use this if you want to get in and get out quickly. Also you may wonder why I have the armour skill there. It is because, if you read everything carfully, you will see that you will be unable to move for a short while after you cast you're Ultimate. The increases the chance you will live after jumping into a group of enemies.

Water Element

I didn't have synergy in mind when i made this one. I had more of a supporter in mind. The combo for water element is just



You use your chain skill to slow a large group of enemies. Then you use your Wave to deal more damage to the group. Use your nuke to finish off your stragglers or your target.

Builds

Item Builds
Your item builds will vary depending on which role you decide to take.

Chaser/Ganker
For chaser I would go with Fire Element most of the time with its slow aura and immolation.

Items:Boots of Travel/Phase, Radiance, Blink Dagger, S&Y for Maim and movement speed boost.

Supporter/Slower
I would with Water element with its slow and its heal.

Items:Bottle, Arcane Ring, EoS( For even more slow. Remember, you are ranged when you are water element.) Bloodstone, BoT.

Tank/Mass Disabler
I would go with Earth element with its Hp bonus and its 2 AOE stuns

Items: Bracers, Heart/Radiance, Blink Dagger, PT or Phase.

There are many different builds possible depending on your style but the cookie cutter build will be:

10/8- Got an idea and wrote a a third of it down on Word V-0.2
10/9- Finished Fire Element and put on here for comments V-0.4
10/10- Finished Water and Earth Element. V0.8
10/11- Put a story and fixed a few skills. V0.9 Plan on doing discussion today.
10/11 (later in the day)- FINISHED!!!
10/12- Did some minor tweaking with cooldowns and manacosts.
10/18- Did some more minor tweaking (lowerd manacost of tornado
and took out damage. Took out "freeze" of the chain
skill.

Pandarens roxx. Nearly every hero maker made one of them, so maybe we should really made "Road to Pandaria" BC? Smile

Only one thing - CD and MC of Fire Spirit's ultimate could be higher, cause it is spammable (as for ultimate).

OP?!!? this guy is wayyy too overpowered. hes like a enigma+batrider+abbadon+earthshaker+sandking+every hero in this game...switching elements has only 5seconds. look at the stun duration for each ultimate...and the damage too :O
