Critical and Evasion don't stack and more (updated)

Two criticals will never stack you will not have 4000 crit if you have 4 burizas in your slot but it those increase the chances to get a critical. The game treats the two as seperate objects.

Here is the calculation, taken from Dota-allstars by Malle:

"1 - ( 1 - A ) * ( 1 - B ) to calculate your chance to critical strike, where A and B are the seperate chances to get a critical strike."

So if we calculate the real chance you get to crit from 2 Burizas...

1-(1 - .22) * (1 - .22) = 39.1% not 44%

But what about hero criticals like Coup de Grace? Same thing but there's a catch. Wen both Coup de Grace and Buriza activate, the game will choose the crit of Buriza not Coup de Grace. That's why some players don't advice hero's who already have crit like Mortred get a Buriza.

For evasion the number one rule is the item or skill that has the higher evasion overrides the smaller one. In other words it is nay impossible to get 100% evasion. Sad but true

But skills like Backtrack and Dispersion do stack with evasion; just use the same calculation when it comes to crit.

So much gold and potential wasted by getting two butterflies...sigh...the bitter irony of it all.

Other Information about stacking

Bashes stack just use the same formula when it comes to Criticals

Magic resistance and walking speed from yasha and sange and yasha will semi-stack

Ex.

2 plainswalkers or 2 Aegis Magic resistance will not stack

1 Plainswalker + 1 Aegis will stack

Special note when it comes to Magina's passive skill resistance.

The two will only stack if you buy for example Plainswalker first before getting the passive skill. But turn that Plainswalker to an Aegis and it will no longer stack.

2 Yashas or 2 sange and Yashas (as if anyone will get 2 of these) will not stack

1 Yasha + 1 sange and Yasha will stack

Orb effects is already covered from another topic but one word of advise to abbadon users. Do not get skadi since it will not stack with Frosmourne even when frostmourne is not an orbeffect.

Images and damage

Your base damage and the pluses from your stats that adds to your damage will stack

But ordinary Plus damage like from Rapier +250 will not stack with images. Try using slithice with a slot full of Rapiers and send one to kill a creep...you'll see what I mean. That's why terrorblade uses skadi in the first place and not just for the slow.

Criticals will work for images but the criticals shown on screen is false the real critical damage is not shown.

So, if i am using mortred, i do not get 58% evasion? (from Blur + Butterfly)

Sadly yes you will not get 58% evasion.

The only thing Mortred can gain from butterfly is attack speed and the agi since blur 28% overrides buttefly 25%. That's why it's more advisable to go mkb rather than buriza or butterfly.

Yupyup, that's why I laugh when i see an enemy mortred with not one but two butterflies. I usually equip my mortred with two MKBs and a satanic, I only use mortred in -ar matches and usually repick if I see her.

yep, that's why i believe butterfly should always be the primary item for faceless void, it gives you damage, near-permabash (50% IAS), and added evasion

Hmm.. I don't think so. I think the buriza damage overrides the Cystalis.

Oh okay. So now it's settled:

If your hero has passive Critical Strike, better stay away from items with Critical Strike.

If your hero has passive Evasion, better stay away from items with Evasion.

If your hero has Poison attack, or Fire, or Lightning, or Holy, or Choco-coated, better stay away from Eye of Skadi.

If your hero has Healing skills, better stay away from Flasks. Coz you might die of glass splinters in your eyes.

At your third point..
Depends on the hero type. If it's ranged, then it's ok. If not.. No Skadi for you.

About the flask thing.. Better to have bubog than constipation from eating tree barks. O_O

i always equip her with a butterfly and a buriza...
