Backdoor Rules
Posted on Sat Oct 24, 2009 9:53 amAlright people we all know that the game is all fun and even better when your winning but what about the other desperate team that temperately gains the advantage by blowing one rax and then going after the other rax while the creeps in those lanes are in other areas. This really pisses me off cause they are looking for any excuse to end the game by using the same lame excuse "creeps are in base". YEA THE CREEPS IN THAT LANE ARE IN BASE BUT WHAT ABOUT THE OTHERS? What is it? is it only a noob excuse or people actually follow the B'D rule like that

Backdoor can be define as
1) when friendly creep is not near the tower, and there are heroes attacking the tower.
2) when friendly creep is no where inside the base..
So if there are any creep inside the base, you are free to attack the tower insider the base.. (correct me if i'm wrong)

This is not illegal.. Even in leagues they Backdoor..This is not noob excuse..This is tactical advantage.I'm sure without Backdoor the leagues matches will last longer.. and if Icefrog doesnt want us to backdoor he can just easily make it that when no friendly creep near the tower/base there wont be any damage taken by towers.. but he dont do that entirely. he just make it so we cant backdoor until we have items :P (so the hp regen by the tower can be overcome by dps hero in late game)

Backdoor is allowed.
Whatever Pein_EVO said is correct.
Though back dooring can often lead to flaming, rage quitting or even host rage quitting in public games.

Who said backdoor is alowed?
Bd is after 60+ min and only bd the third tower of any lane (last tower)

What Pein EVO said makes sense. You can't damage the towers when there are no creeps around till late game (provided the previous towers have been destroyed)
BY the time you have that much damage to attempt soloing a tower, the game should be close to 60 minutes.

bd is illegal = casting spells is illegal
its just gay, like when you walk with 1000 hp and lina with hex and agha comes in and instant killes you.
it was always allowed, xcept for sig games but with the anti bd system its now allowed

apparently having 4wraiths treads and vanguard doesn't allow a slot for a NOOB TP, who the heck spends 135 gold on tps anyway, only noobs.

Its something called "Strategy". With the new 6.60 era, no single hero can solo a tower with levels 14-16 where pub games end.
In the new era, when you are in a certain tower radius without a single creep of yours in the vicinity, the tower "REGENS" its health.
It's quite funny seeing an SK that went BG, tried to BD to win. Ended up getting killed, lost his BG streak and raged quit.

In my experience, there were no official Backdoor rules. People can set up there own rules if they are playing LAN games, or hosting a local tournament.

To avoid digression from the topic: Backdooring rules do allow players to attack buildings that "belong to other lanes", as long as the said buildings and creeps are in the base.

look Backdooring is cowardly to most of the DOTA players but hey, just like what th others said, it's a strategy....i mean come on, other team losing bad and you no means of going to the black market or push base coz of mega creeps and defense? personally, it is actually quite fun when opponents backdoor....the twist makes things interesting, don't you think so? and what peinevo makes sense, if they didnt allow BD, the frog would've just made the tower invulnerable instead of regen....plus they didn't buff clinkz for nothing, it is official after his searing arrow were buffed in the .59 or .60 versions that icefrog wants clinkz to be a backdoor-er....it's in one of the older posts i think in here....
