My router keeps disconnecting while playing Dota,please help

My router keeps disconnecting while playing Dota.
It only happens when playing Dota. It's a D-Link DR-615 Wireless router. It doesn't happen all the time. Just for 2-3 days and then it's fine for a couple of days, and then the problem recurs. Please help me. I lag like hell because of it.

did u just bought the router?try testing your router at your friend's house/somewhere else and see if it still disconnects

do you dc even out the chat section? if so then it might be a weak provider or you're laptop/pc is to weak
if you dont dc out chat section then its the host or Game-Host that has a weak pc or server

No. It's ONLY when I play Dota. It doesn't occur always. Only sometimes.

then its the host or Game-host that is to weak, or it could be that you're connection isnt that good, what is the biggest connection wave you ever got?

mean like: very-weak,weak,medium, good, very-good,etc...

Different ISP can make playing Dota like hell.

i have the same problem.my router disconnects when i enter a garena room with 150+ ppl

good.

It's definitely a router problem.
I use Network Magic. It shows a little green icon which indicates when I'm connected to the net. It grays out when this happens, meaning my wireless router completely loses connection with my laptop.

Maybe it's something wrong with my ISP or laptop's wireless card???

its either ISP or you're wireless card, it could be both

i think you should try talking to the person at the shop where you bought the laptop or the router

I'm not really sure about it though, but I think firewall is intervening your game.

do you dc in a certain intervall? like all 72hours or smth?

If so, change the DHCP settings in your router.

what is ISP? I think your problem might be that your router blocks wc3. Like my girlfriend had problem with msn. (got logged off and on all the time) and my friend had this problem with his router. I don't know exactly how to do this but I'll look into it. Its something about writing in some "codes" on some "router page" so that the router will allow you to have wc3, msn w.e running.
