What is stack?????

Guyzz... ive just started DotA and i wanna kno wat Stack is. Like "Orb effects do not stack" etc... help please!!!! C H E E R S!

stack means that effects works altogether...

for example if you have the ff:
satanic (which has lifesteal effect)
sange&yasha (which has maim)
manta (which has feedback)
maelstorm (which has chain ligthning)

then theres a chance that you can suck your enemies hp, maim him, drain his mana and generate a chain lightning to finish him off... ouch!!!!


good thing some effects dont stack neh?

well, to put it simple, if orb effect is stackable :
If you have 2 satanic
(vampiric orb effect (23% of your damage will heal yourself - everytime you attack a target non mekanic))
and one Eye of Scadi
(froze orb effect - slow target for I don't know how many percentage).
Each time you attack a target you'll get 46% of your damage and slow the target.
BuT! since orb effect is not stackable , you'll only get the 23% heal to your HP (no 46% and no slow effect)

Stack = Add

1 + 1 = 2

Meaning you get the benefit of that item.

Attack speed stacks directly, meaning two hyperstones give you 110% IAS.

Bash stacks diminishingly, meaning 2 bashers on a melee hero will only give you 27% chance to bash, not 30.

Some items/skills never stack, like Evasion, some orb effects, etc.
