Read Ghost's guide on this site. Clock is not meant to be played as a carry/late-gamer, rather a ganker, like NA. THerefore, burst items.

My build usually is:

Phase Boots
Aghanim
Hood or BKB (depending on enemies)
Guinsoo
Necronomicon
Shiva

I think Aghanim is a core item on him, it improves your ulti so much, and Phase Boots are really good for chasing enemies. You should also play him as a ganker/supporter in my opinion.

funkyflea has the right idea. but i generally get necronomicon before Aghs.

hood/bkb can situationally be ignored completely.
but otherwise it is great.

Shiva
HoD/pipe if there is lot of nuke

usually wont go farther than BoT,necrominicon + guinsoo/shiva .. but if prolong go rad so that they will focus on you rather than your allies.

i dont usually get aghanim for him because i love to disable/slow people

I normally rush Agh's after boots and bottle then Straight for Dagon or Necrobook, depending on if I'm feeling Sadistic, or like KSing.

Then Travels, then Guinsoo, then heart.

Insert TPs, Bracers, Hoods, BKBs, or whatevers wherever.

CFX that was the most retarded thing I ever heard. DotA heroes don't have 8 item slots, only 7. Pit Carry Clock VS any other fat hero, even Omniknight can beat him. He needs fury to cleave away Omni's summons, the treats, he needs Radiance to detect the invisible summons, the invisitreants, not to mention Heart AND skadi that is easily farmable in 2 minutes flat cuz my Midas has 0 cd.

Oh and in case you haven't realise, Clock has a 1.2 agi gain, CM has 1.6

Clockwerk is best used as a supporter... in older maps he can be used as a carry , but recent bombardment of nerfs to him makes him more of a support hero.

he came out.
he was a carry.

4 weeks later and b,c,d versions of the map and we had a support hero.
