I've seen a 3 carry strat too, and it's amazing how cD was able to rape Ct with it.
Slardar has been a common pick ever since 59d. Maybe even before. But he is definitely an asset in any lineup.

its peripheral, i get what you mean. blogs do get more attention but im not going for that, rather for discussion. people really arent responding so well now.

yes current trends are so fluid. people are getting bored up with conservative picks(sk potm chen zeus warlock). i currently couldnt catch up so well, so i refer to discussions on many other sites/twitter. now i cant watch replays at all unless on weekends
as for the project, once i got extra ideas on what to write next, i will change it to Writer's Guild which will cover up heroes, items, trends, and insights . still, i lack 3 more reliable members as permanent or custom writers.
as for 2.5 carry, people might misunderstood those as "DPS" carries.

no. sf vs lanaya, same level of play, sf wins early. which makes lanaya paper mid.

Those questions are for novice players. They see a Mortred going on rampages with Satanic, BKB, 3x Battlefury and they want to do the same.

I think the fact that the discussion is non-superficial is contributing as to why it's not kicked off. All of the superficial topics have quite a simple method to getting pages of posts, which is that the topic name is the entirety of the question, and people just jump in and post a simple "Bfly/HoT", or their item build for the hero, and never look back. This topic on the other hand, you click the link, and you're hit with a wall of text, (I quite like walls of text to be honest, and am in a large way a contributer to this). Not only do you have the wall of text of the original post, but if you get through that, you've got another 2 pages of posts which are not just 1 sentence responses to read through, in order to be able to contribute to the discussion (and i mean contribute, this topic doesn't really promote itself to lame posts), rather than just throw your own 1 sentence/1 build reply, and move on (which is exactly how half of the members on this site seem to think a forum works).
That being said, this is the kind of post which should be on the forum, a place to get some in depth discussion, for people who actually like to think about what they say, and how it works.

The focus of the discussion is for one to decide whether the DPSaggedon is coming or not, many people have been saying YES, it is coming, go look at how TA has been doing, your classic pub stomping mindgame hero.
Then it somewhat got drawn off topic to discussing the -armor strategy as a whole.

they are getting buffed, people will try them out.

The winner of that is too easily determined, unless Mortred procs x4 crits three times in a row. And there's no way to keeping teammates out of it. If there were much thing as competitive 1v1 Dota, then maybe..

About Lanaya and DPSgeddon, maybe Kuro's Lanaya wasn't a very good example (as CFX has mentioned many times), but this replay of Korok's (from Blight and he's not a Kuro impersonator) Lanaya, DPS was his strategy and it really did well against even some counters (Pudge and Alche).
