a question about armor type and armor value and doom?!

I've read something about kunkka that tidebringer's cleaved damage is only reduced by ARMOR TYPE, not by ARMOR VALUE.
what does it mean?

And another thing, does doom bringer's DOOM not only silence its inventory but also disables the regeneration of items like vanguard, defiance or perseverance?

it means that if your armor type has no resistance against tidebringer's damage type, stacking armor wont work

as for doom, no. it doesn not disable regen except for heart

ei CFX what do you mean by stacking armor? is this the bonus armor that you gain form the items that you bought?

huh? I was under the impression that tidebringer was pure damaged, unreduced by any armor, regardless of type or amount...

Will look into that.

Well, what damage type is cleave? I was under the impression that it was unreduced damage to all units. If it was chaos spell damage, it would make sense, but otherwise, it makes no sense.

Edit:
I would like to think that its the same damage type as the attacking unit. Therefore hero damage, but then again, hero damage isnt reduced by any armor type except fortified. This is tricky

So then, test by hitting a meat wagon. I doubt it reduces the cleave, but who knows.
