Rupture question
Posted: Tue Apr 03, 2007 11:32 pmDoes anyone know during what intervals does the game check a unit if it moved or not when under Rupture? Say, does it check every second if you moved? Every 0.25 seconds? Every 0.10 seconds?

uhmn?!... It's so hard to tell, whether it is checked by secs... But i think, once you're under rupture, a minimal movement will trigger the effect of rupture, regardless of the time... Movement is the trigger of rupture, if you stop moving, the program will automatically check the spell, and vice-versa...

i thick the rupture calculates directly from the distance covered. i think it counts the number of pixal squares you move.

Every 0.25 seconds. Then it computes how much damage you receive. If it is more than 400[?] then it won't damage you.

If it's more than 200 damage, it won't damage you. (Hence you are not damaged by Rupture when Teleporting far.) Thanks for the clarification.

No, hes saying that a move of more than 200 in game will not result in damage taken to you, i.e. BoT.

@ Millenium:
See, when a hero is Ruptured, the game checks every .25 seconds of game-time if that hero moves a certain amount of distance. And in that .25 seconds, if you moved so far that Rupture would cause 200 damage in that .25 second-instance, you will not take damage. (The trigger actually resets the damage to zero.) But if you move again after Teleporting, you can still take damage if Rupture is still on.
