@rambol
i heard that too, but imo, the forbidden one is like using raigor's skill to block the creep wave...

anyone can confirm?

As far as i know, creep blocking has been utilised even in competitive play. Blocking as in 'stalling the creeps' movement'. I've never heard of creep-blocking being banned in tournaments. If you are talking about completely blocking the creeps from moving out of the base, then i think, yes, it's forbidden, at least in certain servers hosting dota games. I don't know whether fissure-block is forbidden, though.

I don't think so, but the only "illegal" creep block is Furion creep block. Simply sprout as much as 3 creeps and once sprout's duration is over the creep stops moving for the rest of the game. Any form of creep block that does that is consider illegal.

Don't think creep block is illegal in competition. I've participate in many DotA competition and creep blocking is always allowed.
Anyway, anyone know what's the movement speed of those creeps?

Hmmmm....i don't know. Even DA doesn't have the answer. It only states their movement speed as 'fast'. I think it's 300, cos Luna (ms 320) always moves faster than them.

@genso19

It's definitely not the type of blocking i'm writing here. The techniques here are universally used by almost everyone who knows 2 piece in dota, including tournaments like CEVOS. That 'creep blocking' is the one that completely stops creeps from moving out of base preventing enemy from getting exp.

@caspian

ok, tnx for that, I kinda misunderstood, I think the other one is drawing the nearby neutral creeps to your own to stop them, thanks again Smile

I don't recommend blocking the bottom sentinel lane at all since I'm sure the scourge heroes won't be able to block their creeps aswell. Creep blocking is only important in the mid lane where you can get the terrain advantage but what advantage do you get from blocking the sidelane? Sure the battle will be closer to the tower but do you really want that to happen? Unlike the mid lane a successful block will put you above the ramp with the enemy creeps out side your tower range where as in the bottom lane(senti) or top lane(scourge) creep blocking will result in having the enemy creeps within your tower range making it a pain to last hit since the tower can now steal your creep kills.

I wouldn't necessarily say that.. if you do it very well on the bottom lane, as it showed, you can get their creeps to your tower first thing, then he won't level at all early and you will.

Blocking the creeps can also be done with skills such as fissure but what a waste eh...and one more thing, don't delay the creeps for too long of your tower will also be in danger
