Studies say that reading your lessons at least once a day and sleeping early is waaaay better than studying. I do that, and I'm doing great a school. Just read your lessons 10 minutes a day and have lots of sleep. Dota doesn't affect my grade, unless I play Dota eventhough you have projects and homework.

Me before taking my exam. Me and my classmates plays dota for our relaxing time. But it depends on other people because it is your own study habit. My advice is you just relax on your exam its just like a quizz that your going to perfect it or average not lowering than 95. gg

Lol, I would say being on the computer in general.. has lowered my grades.

That and the fact that I have a very disfunctional family and I severely hate 2/4 people in my house. (I am one of the 4)

But in general, I guess my computer playing time is attributed by the fact that every time I leave my room, some person (generally the 2/3) tries to talk to me, which even when that person just does that, I become infuriated, and curse at them, and lock myself in my room.

So in conclusion:
DotA has only effected my grades because I play it so much, BECAUSE I don't like 67% of my house.

It affected mt grades AND my group's grades, after getting a dose of weekly dota, we rised up ranks, and I got my 100 grade in card for computer, its nice, but my freakin bio gets my grade down, but everything is still 91+

oh also, sir ramon lorenzo (one of the smartest people in the world and the philippines according to Rated K who's also my teacher) is a good dota player, so I guess his son (my classmate) is not affected by dota

lol it does affect your grade...

Play too much you will be addicted and when you do that your grades will be low.

Last year

I have 2 classmates who really failed

So we are in the 1st section to be exact we are the cream of the crop

so i started top 22 of all students when i say all it means all of the year level which is hard.. since my average is 89.56 which some students dont get.... of course it was hard for me last year the first section was cut in to two sections so i was in the second i finished in 3rd honor.

So basically i was in the top 25% students

Ok back to the story..

so this year my classmate was top 20 he was good in everything math english biology everything........ well until he played dota.....

since he joined us for a time and he got so addicted and then.....the worst came to worst he joined a frat..... (im not telling whats the name they will kill me gulp!! this frat is popular for highschool students in the phillipines) so......after that it was about the time of the 3rd quarter he never went to school cut classes..... play with his frat friends and totally screw his self up he did smoke cigars in front of our house of course i told him smoke somwhere else...

I never heard of him again this year......



My 2nd friend again was my classmate he was the best dota player in all of the 2nd year level yeah he even beats college players only few can match him.


So.... he was very care free and he is really a laid back person..

Until at the time of the 3rdquarter he stop going to school for at least a month.....


We asked him why he didnt go to school

he admitted cutting classes to play dota with his other friends...



Well at the end of last year he said if he could change time he would stop himself from playing with his dota addicted friends..

This year he is in the 2nd section which is not bad.....



As for me i play dota once or twice a week Friday or sunday= Saturday i do chores so....i cant play at that time sunday i finish my school stuffs mainly homework or studying for quizzes or Advance reading...


^^ THE MORAL IS YOU SHOULD HAVE CONTROL AND MAKE YOUR TIME SCHEDULE....... balancing is important If your priority is dota dont study anymore if you want to be succesful study thats the only thing i can say

well really for me...






it helps actually...
cos i'm doing graphics and I.T. which is um information tech (the closest thing i can get in my f*%&ing school to computer science) and it helps you relax..."SHOULD I RUPTURE OH CRAP RAZOR WTF!! WHERED HE COME FROM OH DAM 23 DEATHS!!!...maybe i should leave i'm pissing some people off...." so yes it helps *relieve* stress...um not really...oh well i got top in english in my year/school in my schools history (95% for argumentative essays and
summaries... (it's out of 20 marks i got 19)) and it helps you RELAX IN CLASS .

Like when you have a double Relegious Education period... then double biology (ON ACCURSED PLANTS) the next day, just play DOTA till like 1AM then go to sleep read some manga..etcetera etcetera and i nearly GARANTEE you'll be able to sleep through atleast 1 of those periods and 1/4 is pretty good to me...

dont worry there's still an accessible net shop just outside the campus and its a hell lot cheaper.

on topic:
not only dota but pc games in general even if i play moderately. i really should stop playing.

The power of addiction. That's what I can only say.

On a side-note:
I actually find dota a tense game. Laugh if you must, but I played so much dota because my parents enjoyed watching the heroes own.

Ahhhh DotA has screwed my grades a little bit....or maybe a lot.
Last year's grade summmary: 19.1 out of 20
This year's grade summary: 17.86 of 20
I'm just trying to stop playing for a while and then play for some days for a few hours and then top again. Just to reduce the addiction.
