MAGIC YAY!!! Im out of date tho...
I stopped collecting the cards ages ago back when 8th edition first came out...
N E ways, i still play an odd game or 2 every now and then...
...Luck eh? whos says magic needs luck? Sure there's the luck of the draw but what magic really relies on is a deck with ... ( omg lol i just realised DotA and Magic are sort of similar-ish while typing this) ... SYNERGY. The cards in your deck have to be able to work together e.g. Like in a land burn deck, having creatures that gain benefits from the oppenents lack of land or an enchantment that deals dmg whenver a land goes into a graveyard, etc, etc...

Hmmm... control and beatdown in one deck? I'm gonna have to sit for a while to think of how we can make that a possibility

perhaps colors white, blue, red deck could do the trick

hmmm i would go green, blue and white for a control/beatdown hybrid :/ ...

Oh, and you're right about Blue + White = Deadly Control Beatdown Deck, lots of counter spells and combat control and a massive army of small creatures and Angels oh, and because white doesn't have much bombs(big creatures) have a blue bomb or an artifact creature as your bomb and get a Wrath of God.

Green can be a good bomb color has many beatdown and mana acceleration.

Anyways can we end the catholic issue, there's a thread for that.

yep green has thee chunkiest creatures ever! hehe WRATH OF GOD FTW! my cousin is crazy about that... Even when he's not playing with a white deck he's like WRATH OF GOD! ...

I'm a casual player at heart. Buy rares that no one really likes but is passable, build a deck with it. Or find a good set of common/uncommons and make a deck. My last one was W/B splash U midrange beats with lifegain as a buffer. It's not going to win every game, but a win is a fun win, hehe.
