control huh? that's actually a good decktype, because it's hard to work against it. I think spells like Underworld Dreams, Stone Rain, Gigadrowse, and Discards(like Persecute, Hypnotic Specter and Nicol Bolas) are the solution against them.

How this for Izzet:

4 Steam Vents
4 Shivan Reef
4 Terramorphic Expanse
2 Izzet Boilerworks
6 Island
5 Mountain

4 Izzet Guildmage
2 Hunted Dragon

4 Lava Spikes
4 Desperate Ritual
4 Dampen Thought
4 Bite of Flame
4 Volcanic Hammer
4 Telling Time
2 Blaze
2 Cancel
1 Block Buster

Tell me your thoughts on this.

It's design to produce infinite mana and use that to replicate the spells such as Lava Spikes with Desperate Ritual spliced on it, or Desperate Ritual with Dampen Thought spliced on it. And if you're combo fails, there are Hunted Dragons to you up.

lol, now I remember

Izzet God Draw

Lava Spike
Mountains
Izzet Guildmage
Desperate Ritual

put izzet guildmage, then splice desperate ritual to lava spike, then using izzet guildmage, replicate lava spike with spliced desperate ritual to deal infinite damage!

Oh yeah, on side board, counter spells and Gigadrowse are your best friends

actually that god hand wins at second, and can actually be beaten by deadly counters like quash(removes countered spell from the game, removes from the game copies of those cards in deck and hand) and extirpirate(removes all copies of target card in the graveyard from the game)

I have a dragon deck but hardly used it, mostly cause i got tired of using dragons, this one's pretty costy though

Dragon deck:

20 mountains

4 Lotus Bloom
4 Seething Song
4 Rite of Flame
4 Dragon Storm
4 Rift Bolt
4 demon fire
4 Howling Mine
4 Shock

4 Numot, The Devastator
4 Bogardan Hellkite

This deck can actually kill in the 6th-7th turn if lucky, during the earlier turns i blast out creatures and lure out enemies counters as early as possible, putting in howling mine if desperate to get good draws.suspending blooms at 3rd turn and suspending as much riftbolts at the 5th turn then during the next turn casting 1-2 rift bolts at upkeep and 1-2 blooms because of suspend, thus giving 2-4 casts, good for the storm effect of dragon storm, casting seething song if in need of more spells, then finally dragon storm, the effect triples cause of storm, 4 hellkites appear dealing 20 damage instantly,

well what do you think?

Your dragon deck is nice, a lot of costly cards, but I think you should have Dreadship Reefs and Gigadrowse cause like you said, some counter spells are deadly(quash) countering that is simple, simply Remand the copy he countered. That's why Gigadrowse is an important part of Dragonstorm decks oh, and replace your Removals with deck diggers(e.g. Telling Time, Sleight of Hand) and mass removals(e.g. Pyroclasm, Blockbuster)

@Donat:
Attempt at a Monored DStorm Variant? Problem with DStorm is, you want to win fast and you want to stay alive long enought to win later if you can't get to win quickly.

Bogarden Hellkite is a given, A set forced through Dstorm kills in one blow, 2 out will have 2 flyers swing in for 10 more. Problem with Numot is, 1. He's a DEAD card on hand. The hellkite can be played turn 6 with a seething song in a pinch. 2. Lack of Haste. Why Hunted dragon is the backup of DStorm? Haste. Allows you to kill on the same turn, in case you draw a hellkite in your hand. The extra turn lost can get him to dig up a solution.

Some of Linial_Tailor's advice up there works. Swap shock for Pyroclasm. (Blockbuster is molasses, don't touch it in constructed). Losing blue means you lose control and deck-sifting power. A few pact of negation would work too to cover any incoming spells that mess up the combo. Beware a trickbind though, thing can't be countered normally and is split second, prevents any copies of DStorm from coming into existence.

Why not touch Blockbuster?
This my version of Dragonstorm:

4 Steam Vents
4 Shivan Reef
2 Dreadship Reef
8 Island
4 Mountain

4 Bogardan Hellkite
2 Hunted Dragon/Tarox Bladewing

4 Dragonstorm
4 Rite of Flame
4 Seething Song
4 Gigadrowse
4 Telling Time
4 Sleight of Hand
4 Remand
4 Lotus Bloom

4 Tarox Bladewing
4 Pyroclasm
2 Deep-sea Kraken
2 Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
2 Dreadship Reef
1 Scourge of Kher Ridges

It's based from Mihara's Dragonstorm. If you're facing Beatdown, sideboard Pyroclasm or Scourge of Kher Ridges, If you think you really have a need for a huge creature, sideboard Tarox Bladewing. If your facing a lot of counters, Teferi is an option. If your facing combo, well..may the best combo player win.

Hmm... Loks like a standard Dstorm deck to me. Though Tarox is a bad sub unless you have 2 in hand and 1 in play.(being at 4 power and all that). The dragons are used because they have haste as well as can sub for any missing hellkites, damage wise. More control and filter cards provided here. Teferi'a an ok sideboard, You can use a lotus for the 3 blue mana in the cost. Plus he's the only one that can halt a trickbind. Even gigadrowse and be worked around with a rewind...
(in case you're not aware of the trick, you attempt to drowse all his blue mana, he floats 4 mana, lets all but the last copy resolve, then counter that copy , untapping 4 lands for future counters.)
...What's wrong with blockbuster? you need 8 mana to trigger it on the same turn you play it. If you don't, a player can destroy it before their attack.

You got a point there...
Who's your fave magic artist?
mine is the goober, Matt Cavotta.
If you would choose, which is better, Blaze, COnflagrate or Demonfire.
Can Conflagrate serve as a mass removal? And how do you pay it? I don't understand the XXR mana cost.

And one more thing, the storm of Rift Bolt, I think doesn't trigger because of the blooms if it's suspended, cause storm triggers the spells you played BEFORE it and they came into play at the same time cause it doesn't specify when it is removed(time counter) so I think it comes into play at the same time.

For Magic art, I like Greg Staples and Boroz-Szikszai art.
For X burn, Demonfire is superior to Blaze or disintegrate, because it can become uncounterable. Unpreventable damage is just a bonus. On a budget, blaze would suffice.
For conflagrate, XXR means for every 1 point of damage you want, you pay 2 mana. basically, you pay twice the X damage you want. so conflagrate for 2 damage is (2)+(2)+(R)= 5 mana all in all. People use conflagrate for the flashback cost, methinks.
Rift bolt doesn't have storm. If spells were to play simultaneously(such as when multiple suspend triggers play them), you choose the order in which they are stacked. If ever there was a suspended storm spell, you can probably arrange it in a manner that makes it the last spell you play. Meaning you get your copies. Haven't seen the ruling though, so might be wrong, but that's how I see it.

Sorry, must have confused it with the other card that has storm...
Maybe you can make a Demonfire + Conflagrate combo, flashback Conflagrate and then use Demonfire.

You can make a 60/60 wurm through Wurm Calling using Clouposts and Vesuvas(got that from wizards)

So that's how you play it!? So expensive!
