Hey anyone out there who plays Magic? Why don't you talk about your style of play and how you make choices(like mulligans, blocks, and attacks).

It's all about LUCK and very good Card Combos. Without it, you cannot win.
Like for example, Red VS Black. Even how many regenerating creatures he has (ex. Zombies), I tore him apart with just nuking his life, took about 9-12 cards to defeat him, DIRECTLY, hahaha! ^^,

Magic is a card game, but there is an online version of it called Magic Online which has an installer that can be bought with the coreset(currently ninth edition) you can see the starterset by looking at the cover you'll see somekind of angel warrior

Luck alone cannot be the only deciding factor in winning a game of Magic. What is luck could just be good deckbuilding, getting you the right cards, most of the luck in magic is probably drawing the right card in a dire situation, but as long as you have a good deck, you won't need to rely on it too much.

As for the Red vs Black example you said, You just used a basic red burn strategy, sending damage directly to the player. if he was running a deck full of regenerators, that wouldn't be very efficient in resources, because the regen ability usually up's a cards cost by 1 or weakens the card.

Well, all of the games of players really depend on the cards they draw. Even how good a deck is, it has it's weak points, not to mention that you never know what deck your opponent is using. ^^,

Ok, why does everyone talk about luck? it's not really about luck (but a turn-one kill hand does heed a lot of it), it's more of strategy, but if you insist on luck try maxing out your card copies to four, and make someplans on rushing and stalling

Red vs. Black: red pleyer should work on "X" spells(like blaze and conflagrate) while black player should work on pumping up his life and use mass destruction spells like Dammnation

Any ways, Red will be weak against control colors like blue and white

Without luck, you'll get the worst cards on your hands. then, even with strategy, you cannot decide of which cards to play against the opponent. -_-

Arranging your deck correctly before a game should help in getting good cards(I know that your supposed shuffle the deck but it increases your chance to get a better hand).

start off slow, then find and witness a touney in progress (make sure thats allowable through the tournament organizer), Ask what somethings are, and do, and ask one of the stronger players to help you out, thats how i did in Yu-gi and i've now got an unstoppable gravekeeper deck.
