Okay so i just recently bought dota and have only been playing for about 2 weeks and the only character i have any success with is crystal maiden

im looking for criticism on what items i should be getting for her

basically i have been starting w/bracer then going straight to boots of travel. then i go Black king bar and then guinsoo
this seems to be working pretty good for me. Any suggestions?
am i a retard?

i's quite good, but you dont need to rush boots of travel.

you should buy dagger of escape to finish your combo quite good.

activate BKB > blink to the enemies > freezing fields

you should have this build :

1. frost bite
2. frost nova
3. frost bite
4. frost nova
5. frost bite
6. frost nova(you dont have enough mana yet to do the combo at level 6)
7. frost bite
8. freezing fields
9-10. stats
11. freezing fields
12-15. stats
16. freezing fields.
17-20 stats
21-25. brilliance aura

you dont need brilliance aura, as it is weak. you need stats more than that.

6 - dagon5

Your build is good, don't get BoT immediately, get Kelen's dagger of escape instead.

no dagon 5! dagon 5 = too expensive for its effects. dagon 1 is enough already.

the other thing i was thinking is that BoT first is really good cuz cm is slow as -bleep- so it giving me 90+ move speed is really good for escaping after a quick stun or something

i tried the dagger and it just seemed like with BoT u can go anywhere instead of a short distance and u also get 90+ which is more valuable than a short distance w/dagger with relatively the same amount of wait time to re-use and it isa 500 less gold

idk it was easier for me not to use early on compared to BoT

the kelens dagger is most used to start a combo, first activate the BKB so you can't be affected by magic, next use kelens to teleport beside your enemy (this requires timing and estimation, practice) then when your next to him activate freezing field, if he runs try using frsotbie, frost nova and guinsoo

Normally i will only get BoT after getting Blink Dagger. Blink dagger allows you to execute your combo perfectly as blink will allow you to go right beside the enemy immediately where BoT cannot do so. Experience player will immediately run or blink away when they see an CM with Avatar activated rushing towards them.

BoT is still a must for CM since it gives the ultimate mobility, which is teleport. Get it after you obtain Blink Dagger.

My build: BoT, blink dagger, BKB, blood stone, aghanim, guinsoo/linken/EoS. Blink BKB for combo. Take brilliance aura at lv 12-15. It has been improved now. And pretty good that it stack with basilius.

well it is a god build. but u say cm late game. so you need late game items? there worked once:
-travel
-buziza
-scepter
-hyperstone
-hyperstone

annd some str bost.

I think you don't need two hyperstone and Buriza...

Other optional iTems are..


Bloodstone(nice item for any int heroes)
Dagon 1 (For last hitting heroes)
