Dota screw up - i keep getting kicked! help!

Hi, i just turned the computer on before and clicked into warcraft 3 and noticed there was a new DotA so i downloaded 6.44 and now every time I go into a game i get kicked straight away and i have numbers next to my name. please help its driving me nuts!!

Maybe your game lacks something..... or maybe their game have something that yours don't.....

maybe you downloaded the fake map because before the official was released a fake one w/ the name of 6.44 was used. try to delete the map of 6.44 that you have and download it again from getdota.com

I think i know why you have numbers next to your name (the reason why you are kicked):

The PC is downloading the map. The numbers show the percentage of your dl being complete. It's because the PC thinks you don't have the map. Why? It's because the name of your downloaded map is not 'DotA Allstars v6.44'. It's something else.

So, the solution is:
rename your map if you did get it from www.getdota.com, or

download dota maps only from www.getdota.com. Save it to C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Maps\Download

you're being kicked by the host bec. you have a number beside you're name and when you have number beside you're name you'll have a problem playing with them bec. you're computer is delaying in short you're game is delaying or maybe like what caspian said

number in the left of our name ..... usually its came out if our lack of connection or something like that. CMIIW

the number means the percentage of your map download from the host maybe the host don't want to wait for you to download the map and kicked you out.

This problem, only means one thing. The above posters have already said, but I will help and elaborate.

The numbers beside your name in the list is the percentage of your download. Once it's reached 100, it means the map is completed. You get kicked, because the host doesn't want downloaders as the others have to wait for you to finish downloading before the game can start.

Therefore, the host kicks you, so that another person who has already downloaded the game to come in so that the game can start immediately.

Get the 6.44 map here: www.getdota.com

Put the map in Warcraft III -> Maps -> Download. If there is no Download folder, create it and make sure it is spelled like this, "Download"

Numbers next to your name?
Its just that you are downloading again the 6.44(maybe the fake one)and many hosts cannot wait other people to download so thats why they kick you.
All you have to do is to create your own game and you will be sure that you are playing the original map AND that you will not be kicked :P

It only means one thing, you have downloaded a fake map. Where did you get this map from? getdota.com? i doubt it

The topic starter didn't say that he downloaded any map. He saw the new version, and joined the game. He didn't say anything about downloading any fake maps.

The host has probably anidownload checked on in his banlist or you are in his banlist.Try!
