Popular Misconceptions

I have seen alot of these lately so I figure why not make one big post for noobs to look at as, "basic dota homework" (quoted from yukino if i remember right). So here are a bunch of things.

Axe's ultimate skill can kill Abaddon even if his ultimate (borrowed time) is activated.

Mortred ultimate (Coop de Grace), that crit does not stack with a buriza's crit.

If you have a basher and an image, the image can not proc real bashes but fake ones. What this means is that the image will do the animation for a bash hit, the target will get the blue swirls over its head, but he will not really be bashed, just will still be able to move and attack.... If the real you proced a bash and the target is stunned and an image lands a "fake" bash, the stun will then be prolonged for another second.

If Abaddon is under 400 hp, and he is not being attacked, and the cool down to his ultimate reaches zero, it will not activate, only once he is then attacked again will it activate.

Zuez's ulti does not hit invisible unit unless you team mate has a gem or something and can see that invisible unit.

(from the recent guide released) Luna moonfanges ultimate can only hit 1 target with a maximum of 4 beams. That means at level 7 with level 4 beams and level 1 Eclipse (4 beams proced), you can do the maximum damage to a hero. Which is 1200. At high levels of the ulti, there is simply more beams so you dont need the ideal 1v1 situation to deal 1200 to the enemy hero.

If you are Phantom Lancer and have your army of 8 images, and you activate your manta style, two of your images will die rather than then having 10 images. The images chosen to die are those who have been there longest (if im not mistaken).

If you have an image and a buriza. If the image and you both get critical hits, then number will not be significantly lower then the images. Having a buriza will not give away who is the real you.

If your armor is negative, you do take increased damage.

Your movespeed, lets say it is 300. That means you will move 300 range in 1 second.

The spirit breaker does have a double attack. One right before he swings his lamp, and then one when the lamp actually hits. I do not know why this is but there is a double attack.

PotM's Ellun's arrow does give a truesight aura (so you can see invisible units with it).

Specters desolate only works if you are alone with no allied units around you. I think it is that you have no allied units in your sight.

In mid air, with Rexxar's wild axes, then switch left to right and right to left. So even if a unit is only in the path of one axe, he will be hit by both.

You can blink if you under naga sirens net, but when you arrive at your destination you are still under the net.

Tide hunters kraken shell removes Lucifer's doom.

Tide hunter's anchor smash and battle furies stack.

If you have a battle fury and life steal, you do not life steal off the splashed damage.

If you have a buriza and life steal, you do get extra life steal from the critical hit.

Harbringer's Sanity Eclipse has no damage limit.

Happens only when you learned the Empowering Haste skill.

Here's a few more

1) Ursa has 2 attacks with Enrage.
2) Multiple Radiances will not stack
3) Ranged illusions don't mana burn
4) Multiple Maelstroms/Mojolliers will not increase the amount of chain lightning. (Same goes with sange and S&Y)

Additionals:

1] You can lifesteal with Battle Fury, though you only lifesteal the primary target. (Only works on MoM, Vampiric Aura, and Satanic)
2] Leoric's Vampiric Aura doesn't stack with Vladimir's.
3] Doom damage doesn't get reduced by spell resistance.
4] Skadi doesn't stack on Knight Davion when on Elder Form.
5] 2 MKBs don't deal a bonus 200 damage, but instead the chances will increase.

Yukino is actually a g~ no wait..

You can still use your inventory(like dagon, guinsoo, tp etc) when silenced, bloodraged, etc but not when doomed.

Rgd Rupture:

Does anyone know that if you move over a certain distance in 0.25 sec when Ruptured, you actually don't take damage? At lvl 1/2/3, if you move over 1000/500/333.3 distance in 0.25 sec when Ruptured, you don't take damage. Rupture damage is Magic type.

Not sure about this though,

Kraken Shell CANNOT remove stuns.

I've never blocked a stun before after playing more than 30 games with Leviathan....

@TOPAK, I have been fighting levi and i was knight davion. I dragon tailed and he got out before the stun was over it does. Certain stuns (or all of them im not sure), when stunned show up in your status bar. So yes it does remove them.

Uhm there are so many other things. Eg. Orb effect chain lightning go after the attack. Poison nova and poison sting can't kill the victim. Etc...

Kraken Shell can remove stun man. Youre wrong..
Levianthan can remove Reverse Polarity and many more

Kraken Shell (K)
Creates a thick armor shell around Leviathan that protects him against attacks. Additionally, this ability sometimes randomly removes negative buffs.
Level 1 - Reduces damage by 7, Removes buff every 11 seconds
Level 2 - Reduces damage by 14, Removes buff every 10 seconds.
Level 3 - Reduces damage by 21, Removes buff every 9 seconds.
Level 4 - Reduces damage by 28, Removes buff every 8 seconds.

Any buff it can remove but only every 8/9/10/11 sec depends on the level.. I think you are not in a right time to remove those buff..

@adibafifi and DotaLancerBoy - Well... let's just say that I wasn't hit by a Reverse Polarity or a Dragon Tail using Leviathan... ^_^

So a longer duration stun (3+ sec) has a better chance of being removed than a short duration stun(.01 - 3 sec)...
