Zeus vs. Razor

y get hood of defiance if you can have "avatar"..farm for avatar first then go for damage items and its gg for zeus..

Fine. It's 1-1 right?

Razor can immediately complete Hood of Defiance with 3250 gold. Zeus can only make Eul's Scepter and buy some components of Oblivion staff. They are both at level 1. Razor has superior range than Zeus. Even if the latter gets Lightning, Razor would not be harassed because of the Hood. Razor can opt for Chain Lightning and stats for harassment. Buying Zeus a Hood of Defiance is out of the question - Razor will just shift from caster to DPS later in the game. Razor's attack and projectile speed is also superior, making denying and farming a breeze. Arc Lightning can do that too. However, continuously using Arc Lightning in every creep wave will also dwindle down his mana pool, even if he has regenerating items.

Provided that Zeus completes Guinsoo's, he will still lack the HP to face Razor. Polymorph has a 3 second duration and a 20+ second cooldown. Add skill cooldowns and insert theorycraft stuff, Zeus still cannot do enough damage to Razor.

Razor has low HP
Yes indeed. But let's give Razor these two items:
1] Vanguard
2] Hood of Defiance
All in all, both costs 4625 gold. Razor only needs to farm for 1375 gold to complete both items, since he already has 3250 gold [starting money].
These two items give Razor enough protection from Zeus and his spells. I wouldn't even discuss Zeus' items. I'm pretty sure that a Stat-build Razor can stand up to it.

Hmmm....retort posts happen when ppl do not practise restraint and put labels like 'zero knowledge' in their posts.

Yeah, zeus' nemesis is the oh-so-imba hood of defiance. Besides, zeus isn't suited for 1v1 fights. He was tailored for team pawnage (read: Static Field, Wrath). It's not a matter of how to use heroes as it's more a matter of putting that hero in the right place to fight.

This is nice, but really this is a very silly debate on. ^^,

RAZOR will dominate of course, how can Zeus, a low HP hero can compete with Razor, who has high armor, fast attack speed, faster movement speed, and can farm far greater than Zeus can expect? ^^,

@rchowmein: we are not debating here because it is already 'set' as you said so. This is actually facts on why Razor CAN beat Zeus 1 vs 1. What Yukino says is right. Razor only has to get Hood of Defiance to be able to dominate Zeus. You say what if Zeus can be able to get all the superb lvl 4 items. By that time it will be late game which in that case, Razor will also most probably have his end game items too. It is not that Zeus can damage a lot if Razor gets HoD because his attacks ARE MOSTLY SPELLS. You say the people who have posted have zero knowledge on gameplay. I would like to see what you can do, how creative you can become with Zeus when you fight Razor with HoD, you just cannot kill him easily. Let see. 400 dmg (just round the figure up) X 30%. That is around 120 dmg reduction from his ulti. You also complained on us commenting winning based on items. Don't you know that besides one's skill in playing, his item choice is also a main factor in his game?

Early game, Zeus will give Razor a hard time... But as the game progresses, Razor's gonna dominate Zeus! Nyahahaha

Zeus can rush arcane and spam lightning bolt FTW giving no chance for razor to farm in a 1 vs 1 om game. Although hood can be a big problem.

I would say that, although razor would prolly win in a 1v1, if the player using zeus knows wut hes doing, he could prolly kill razor no problem if he get Aghanims Scepter and then gets Refresher orb with Guinsoo's Scythe of Vise, thats over 1k dmg right there + spells when hes slowed with Guinsoo's to finish him off(but lets be reasonable here, thats over 15k worth of money). Having said that, razor would prolly be mroe likely to win in a 1v1 vs zeus because of HoD

zeus MAY get razor at early game--coz zeus is supposed to hav gd nukes.
At late game razor MUST win provided that both of them r equipped with SUITABLE items. Razor can deal 300+ each hit with SUITBLE items at crazy attk speed. Also, with a bkb, zeus bye bye.

actually when I use zeus, zeus can push fast, also harrasing with his lightning bolt + arcane ring + energy booster, his lightning bolt deals 100 damage with cd of 6 secs at lvl 1, let's say razor has HoD, it will deal at least 50 damage per 6 seconds at the cost of 75 mana, arcane ring gives out 110 mana per 33 secs (it has 25 mana cost so it's 110 only) and his energy booster and arcane ring gives additional 550 mana, so spamming with his lightning bolt is really possible over time,,

BUT...

will razor lane up with him?? in that case, arc lightning + static field can allow zeus to push a little faster, and also another solution against heroes with no disable like rzor, the scroll of town portal, he can't farm mkb that fast right?

still razor can really own zeus at late game, almost all heroes can own zeus late game
