How to fight Phantom Assassin 1v1?

I´m in need of help from the pros round here...
We´re having a DoTA mini tournament (just few fights 1v1) at our school just in two days and I´d be the hottest favorite if there wasn´t a mad DoTA player who uses Mortred and is said to be unbeatable.
We fought twice - first time I used my favorite hero, Enchantress, and got absolutely owned. There was nothing I could do. Impetus was useless aggainst Blink Strike, he was spamming Shadow Strike on me and took me down. Late game, single critical was enough to pawn me.
Second time I decided to go with Abaddon and lost aggain, but it was not 15-0, just 8-5. Still, criticals tore me appart.

And I´d like to win and need your advice. Who should I use? Magina, Bradwarden and Anub´arak are my ideas. Who would you suggest?

use an early game hero to take out his late game ownage. or use a permabasher like void or a return damage like anubarak who can hold his ground early game. best advice is take away his early game

try luna. her eclipse is sure to win 1v1 battles if used right.

Yurnero could be good too.Blade Fury will harrass her in early game,plus spell immunity protects you from her shadow strike and blink.Healin wards for mid-late game,%36 chance to 2X critical is better for me than coup de graçe,and Omnislash could save you even you have few HP.

Your choice of bradwarden against mortred is good. Put lothars and 2 blademills in your item build. 1 Tarrasque, Assault Curias, and Buryza will surely kill mortred 1v1. 2 Blademills combined with your damage return is ouch!! Stomp, wack, wack, wack, Double Edge and you can just stand there watching her dying with her own attacks. Heroes with permabash are good choice as well. Void's chrono rocks!! She can't do anything. If she buy bladmills as well, use item with lifestell like vladimir or satanic to override the return damage from blademills.

i agreee with mv20vm use centaur and get at least 3 4 blade mails and watch mortred killing himself its fun lol

Does 4 blademills stack? What I know is 3 blademills max. The 4th won't stack anymore like bashers you can only use 3 max. Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

Magina is cool too. You can't be killed coz you have better blink. In using Magina, twin Bashers and Assault Curias are your main items. After completing 1 basher, rush the hyperstone. 5 slashes burns her mana thus, she can't blink nor shadow strike you. No escape if he's been bashed. Don't forget blademills to atleast lessen your damage from criticals. If game goes on, match her criticals and buy buryza.

Razor? It might as well stand a chance but during early through mid games only. Chance is like 30% winning 1v1 against mortred, not really sure about that. Just buy escaping items like lothars or blink dagger for you not to be killed frequently. Mortred's combo will surely kill you. Shaddow strike then blink strike plus 900-1000 criticals flying away hehe.

you know what i think.. you just need to practice a bit more.. mortred is very easy to counter..
for real, she is not that strong especially on one on one coz you'll be able to harrass her more often and she will be forced to defend rather than farm to get stronger..

heroes fit to kill mortred, even crush her.. i like to face melee against melee ,in that way you will be better in playing dota..
1. Jarakal or Faceless Void.
2. Bradwarden or Tiny.
3. Slardar or Barathrum or Balanar.
4. Beastmaster or Rigwarl
5. Sven or Axe or Arachnia

What I really don't understand is how can she have defeated you when you used Enchantress and Abaddon, coz those two heroes are almost hard to match in one on one or early game..

If you want to use range heroes..
I suggest you use these:
1. Viper or Bone CLinkz
2. Nevermore or Luna

But if you really can't beat her with these heroes i don't know what really is the problem.. i guess, you really need to practice more..

These heroes can match her late game:
Jahrakal
Faceless
SLardar
Mercurial
Huskar

But if you have no mercy at all. IF you really want to win against mortred... Just use beautiful LUCY the Doombringer..
Just Build Linken, Dagon5 so that.. THere is no escape but if you want to fight physically, then build
Satanic, Radiance, Heart, and S&Y.. Lucifer can kill mortred anytime, and he has very good farming and pushing capabilities.. goodluck!!!

Well, i'd go for Mercurial if what you want is late game survival, but you can make it the other way and not let late game come....
For that, one hero that does the trick extremely well against mortred is Kel'Thuzad....
He is the ULTIMATE lane dominator, and his killing skills really make him terrifying....
It'll be like he sees you, he dies...
Mortred can't survive the Chain Frost/Frost Nova combo, and if she did, she'll die from a couple of hits....
She could however take a HoD, which will certainly make your life hard, but your harassing skills would be better than hers anyway...
Just remember, both your nova and chain frost have slows so you can get some easy cheap shots....
As for Mercurial strategy, just go for a Manta style, and then start getting blade mails....
Or you could take the butterfly instead and she'll be gone from that....
However, try to take her out early anyway, because in early game you are definitely better than her....

I'm surprised why no one mentioned Harbinger.

Sanity's Eclipse will own Mortred. And she's too thin to withstand multiple arcane orbs. ~_~
