Venomancer has some nasty tricks up his sleeve, mass poison you and slow you, and spam wards to harass you. Does Mortred stand a chance against Veno? If yes, how?

well, there is a slim chance that mortred will beat venomancer..
i suggest you build a linken and hood of defiance.. if you can do that, you'll own venomancer..
but if you fail to do that then you won't stand a chance..
venomancer can pawn mortred easily bcoz of her low hp, plus her shadow strike and poison nova can eat up your hp in seconds plus her cheap shots..
it's really diificult for a melee to match a range especially if the melee is an agi.. like mortred who is not good at farming, and pushing.. very difficult but you can defeat venomancer..

items would be:
defiance, treads, linken, satanic, bfly..

if venomancer goes for aghanims, you will have a greater chance coz in late game she will suck..

anyway practice in denying and last hitting of creeps to get the advantage..

denying as a melee hero vs. a ranged hero is hard especially when it uses wards... late game is when mortred can kill.... take up HoD... SnY...

I think not saving ur own a** would help u win because he too will go ahead for something that would he ur defence go nil. Make something that'll make u go godlike or even beyond godlike against any range attacker. First u can go for HoD just to avoid harrasing, then keep farmiog and neutral creeping to earn enough for MKB, once ur done with that, just go for Helm of dominator or MoM to avoid Kill escape. Blink unknowingly, till he realizes he's being attacked he already faces crits jumping more than 500, even if he poisons don't run, ur life steal and crits allow u to stand both poison and physical dmg, once the poison's gone Veno will be gone... Motred's not that easy to play but a bit of ideas and strategy makes him a dominator. tip: when playing wid motred come walking behind ur own creeps the shadow form does not allows ur opponent to realize u coming, that helps u save a blink, this would help in late kills. thnx

If you wanna beat venomancer,early game you must play defencivly.Get PT and HoD.After that bild satanic and vanguard and go for butterfly..Your last item should be Linken's sphere for avoiding shadow strike!

first thing and pure weakness is the SCROLL of town portal, he uses his ulti, uses his first skill then you teleport to your fountain, you're saved, he doesn't have a stun, next getting butterfly for mortred is a bad idea, evasion DOESN'T stack, get an assault instead, getting linken's will help too

he can't get mkb at first right? it costs at least 5400 gold, and it only has 15% chance to stun, and when he has farmed that item, mortred can already resist his poisons, also when you got comboed by veno, you can run and he can't catch you with mkb, once you're out of sight, cast the scroll

A well-fed PA in a 1v1 is going to slaughter anyone, including Venomancer. It's understood, right? 4x critical, evasion, blink, SS are all catered for a 1v1. If it's a team then Venom kills. That is, if the topic poster is talking about team in the 1st place.

Gone are the days when ppl thought about the team. Most threads now are this vs that.

yep, but doing it in the teammate terms is a much more complex thing, since the hero depends on its teammates too, but this this vs. that argument will reveal much of the 2 hero's advantages and disadvantages on each other and also the builds and what to do on them

I'll go for Venomancer. If those two are in same lane, Lesale has the advantage. Why? He got ranged attack, poison which damage per second and Shadow Strike.

He'll harass Mortred badly!!! If playing Veno, don't push!!! You won't be able to deny nor harass Mortred! Last hit and deny are a priority; harass her when creep wave is almost finished (like 2 or 3 creeps left)

Game goes and goes. Venomancer got good items and Mortred will have some difficulty getting good items because of Veno's harassements.

Mortred has low hp and won't stand againt poison.

If it's a 1vs1, Veno wins. How's that!!?? Mortred' Crits will own Venomancer!!! Well, blademails counters melee heroes. There is no counter against ranged heroes. Blademails are lame!! Well, if you want to get own fast and easy, don't get this item.

Definitely venomancer! shadow strike,poison,poison nove=deadz mortred. Mortred has the lowest strength gain and low base HP. 1 combo and she'll be dead in matter of seconds.

Well, I have to go for venomancer...
Early game, he'd just pawn her....
I mean, just plain harassing a bit and her hp goes down like nothing... She has crap hp in the beginning, and Venomancer has a natural slowing attack, a slowing skill that also has DPS....
It's GG for Venomancer....
Unless, Mortred could miraculously survive early game (have no idea how though), then she'll pawn him before he can say "critical"

Just Deny and last HiT... Hug your tower.. and if you can.. go to other lanes and Farm.. Then backstab him when you have good items..


Agree on buying lifesteal Items.. Venomancer's Poison is useless with your high critical lifesteal..
