Wards. They really strong itemes! Guys, when u used wards u can save ur life in the game with pro players on in the games 5 on 5! But in the new versions of dota wards usually change his skills. How do u use wards and where?

There are some limited areas in DotA in the latest version where you cannot put wards at. It's hard to say but it s*cks now. T.T

Wards have been nerfed which is sad, but the best way to use them is to place them in rivers to spot power-ups and ganks.

When and where should I use observer wards?
As you can see, the map is separated into 3 areas: the Sentinel, Scourge and Free area. For this explanation, let’s assume we are on the side of the Sentinel.
The basic idea is to always place the wards in the Free area. Why? For one thing, it is less meaningful to know what happens in the Scourge zone because there are safe places/havens (towers) all over the place for them. Similarly, they won’t come in yours. The free zone is a place where everyone is equally far from towers, thus, if there was a place where you would be killed or you would kill someone, it would most likely always be in the Free zone. With this reason, it is always important to know what goes on there.
At the beginning, the Free zones are limited to the length of the river and a pair of balls at the top left and bottom right of the map between the top and bottom towers, and placing wards along the river banks would probably be sufficient for the team’s survival as you will know if anyone enters your territory.


Warding the river

But please remember that, as towers begin to fall, your teams territory shrinks and the free zone expands. Now you’ll need more wards to ensure your safety. To forsake knowing what goes on in the free zone is the same as forsaking your safety.

When should I have these wards in the free zone?
As long as you have not overpowered their team to the point of assured victory, wards are always advised, for it is better to know than to guess.

When should I place wards within my own territory?
When your team is losing.
When should I place wards within my enemies territory?
When you have more than one game ender (allow them to have their own lane to farm), thus allowing 2 people to be free to roam around ganking. Either that, or you’re winning and have to search exclusively for prey to maintain your winning position.

I suggest you look up the following to understand ward placement:

Basically the most important place to ward is the power-up spawning spot. Other places are warded to detect ganks and sometimes to prevent neutrals from spawning (no more jungling).

If you've actually seen a 5v5 pro game, you would have known that not every hero is suitable for buying wards.

tnx2all. Maybe anybody can put thr images with thw places of observer wards. Wards have different seeing area in different terran (on the rocks it will be better). But there are no many rocks in dota map.

However, there are many more spots that can be warded. I just discovered that my link doesn't work if you don't log in. Posting images are time-consuming, so you should do yourself a favour by registering at DA and use my link. Thx.

A general tip is that placing a ward on elevated terrain (on the hill/cliff) gives you a very large area of sight (AoS). Placing it on doubly elevated terrain (eg cliff on cliff) increases your sight even more. Trees can block ward AoS so be sure to place forest wards in open areas to gain max view. Treant Protector/Weaver/Broodmother/Visage can use their abilities to double as observer wards.

Hmm... Is It Good To Put One Ward Near Roshan? Just To Monitor If Someone Attempting To Kill Roshan And KS...lol

Right, having wards on Roshan (especially the recent Roshan, which has many levels every 10 mins) can be warded to gank them while killing them! ^^,

best place to put ward is at rune area and yes roshan also high place to view even more larger area....ex at mid,put a ward at high place give your more view than you out it at the river
