Suggestion For IceFrog: Make Diffrent Maps!

I might be alone on this sentiment, but those of us who have been playing Dota through many many versions are getting kind of bored of the very basic, but very loved, dota map that has graced every single version of dota so far.
I would love to see diffrent maps (like any other real game) with diffrent qualities and diffrent fun additions. I would rather see diffrent maps in future releases than more heros or what not.

does anyone else think this would be cool, or am i the only one?

i'm with you i already have a decent idea for a new map and i understand editor enough to make it but...too lazy to find an unprotected version and i can't deprotect for crap (took me 3 months to unprotect 4.3. Basically it was a tournament sort of idea with roshan being in the VERY center of the map instead of on the scourge side...he'd be in the valley/river where it meets the middle lane and they'd be a cliff like walkway leading up to it, and most of the other towers would be on cliffs that you have to go behind to attack if your melee (because towers are weak as it is) and also major points like where towers are or the river meets lanes would be circular and a creep wave would circle there for about 10seconds waiting for another wave to fight and reinforcements just so battles would be bigger and a little more interesting...then spells like pitlords would actually be useful...oh and the middle mountain where roshan would be would have two gates on each entrance from sentinal and scourge walkways which would open on a timer so creep build up a little before going in and players won't run away from roshan when he kickes their ass... oh and roshan would get pretty stronge pretty fast and he'd eventually need to move away so like after 30mins he'd walk down the hill and start patrolling the river and going under the mountain where the river would be without the mountain...yeah pretty much:

EXTREME MAKEOVER,DOTA edition

three lanes two bases no big big battles involving creeps...kinda boring...

i feel sorry for creeps..they do all the work and the heroes get all the $$$...if creeps had a chance to farm they'd get radience too yah know...

yeah me too but not until some people stop playing DOTA...it's getting kinda crowded and i still like rabbits VS sheep and island defence

I had a kind of cool idea that there could be like 2 main bases (like there is now) and then also have like scourage and sentinial "outposts" where heros could buy like the potions and wards and what not.
then it would be cool because the enemy could destroy these outposts but the game would continue.

hey try dota extreme found at www.epicwars.com tehere son goku, sadako and red ninja,, there is also one hero that has a skill of frozen throne, got to check this out,, the ghraphics are from world of warcraft,, i suggest to put some new heroes from battle realms hahaha make a request to liquid entertainment taht icefrog and blizzard will use some of their heroes hahaha
i wana see lich versus zymeth, kenjie versus abadon that will be fun yeah!

uhhh guys, about new maps... I'm making one and I have a decent terrain and system as well. problem is that I need hero and item ideas and was wondering if i could use the ones in this forum?

Cool one man. I and bloodcraft have this vsion of a game with four bases(night elf,huma blah blah) and night elf-humans allies and undead-orc allies. Like WoW with many quests but also dota like creep war. Like it?
