Personally I feel that runes are something you have to face when you come across international players. I understood that many Filipino dota-ers use -np for the reasons that killmore said. But you must also acknowledge that nearly all dota gaming countries I've come across do not use -np and there are no balance issues about runes in Europe, US, Australia/NZ, Malaysia/Singapore, Korea, etc. You cannot keep avoiding runes just because you hate someone kill you with haste . It's a reality in the dota gaming world and you should get accustomed with that.

that part is true regarding Filipino players using -apnp and it shows last time when I host a game the all left and calls me noob for not putting np on the command game on GG (not to mention that i said we will play with the runes)

if i get dd,supposely 5 sec b4 the next rune respawn, n then the next rune respawned is aso dd, will it stack?will dd stack with other damage buff? god str maybe?

The answer is DD does not stack with God's Strength. It does stack with Empower(Magnataur) and Bloodrage (Bloodseeker).

A little tip for using runes, if your enemies lurk be a rune hog, ever died cause u left dd for ur ally and razor came and took it?

painful...

Well also, leave haste for, leshrac or something because leshrac haste is just mean, dd is for dps heros, invisi is for techies or pudge, haste also works on slardar, regen is only useful to restore yourself after farming, illusion works well if they have any spells with long cds, cause say im leshrac, i get rune of illusion, taunt bloodseeker with it, he charges past the real me and ruptures the image, i turn on my shit, he uses bloodrage on me, and i kill him.

On the contrary regen by itself is a very powerful and versatile rune in ganking. It is one of the most powerful "mind-games" (as proposed by totalnewbie ) tool along with blink dagger. Suffer 1/2 nukes from your enemy while nuking him once, retreat, heal using regen, go back and nuke him to death! Most of the time, people will not expect you to go back and kill them after you retreated. This is especially powerful with nuke heroes who have escape abilities, eg Queen of Pain, Morphling, PoTM.

the emergence of the empty bottle greatly changes dota play, no doubt.

not only does it reffil the bottle, but also it allows you to choose when to use the rune, making the rune much more powerful.

also a bottle refill early game changes alot.

some runes are more powerful than others.

the most powerful would be regen with a long-range nuker(lina, zues, deathprophet, etc). almost infinite mana
just try to nuke from afar ands retreat. trying to not get hit to keep your regen.

Another very powerful strat:

place a ward at one of the rune spawning sites. If the rune spawns there, u'll be the first to know. if its not there, then its surely in the other location.
alternativly, if ur not timing, you can place wards at the two locations.
placing the wards is well worth it, especially if you have a bottle.

an almost invinsible 1vs1 strat is to get a bottle and wards. if u get the runes, almost infinite regen. also the power of the rune in battle is very powerful. surely total domination of early game.

I have changed the contents of the walkthrough to include heroes like Zeus, Anubarak, Pudge and the latest changes to the powerups:

Illusion - duration changed from 60 -> 75 seconds
Regeneration - duration 60 -> 30
Haste - duration 60 -> 30
