Aegis can only be acquired by killing Roshan and picking up the item.

Dota Item: The Fall of Aegis
1st
- +10 Armor
- 30% chance to block 60 damage
- 2X% spell reduction
- 3 Charges of Ankh of Reincarnation to your base
Items required: Scroll(2000), Cloak(62X), Stout(350), Platemail(1400)

2nd
- +10 Armor
- 2X% spell reduction
- 3 Charges of Ankh of Reincarnation to your base
Items required: Scroll(2000), Cloak(62X), Platemail(1400)

3rd
- +10 Armor
- 2X% spell reduction
- 3 Charges of Ankh of Reincarnation to your base
- Undroppable
Items required: Scroll(2000), Cloak(62X), Platemail(1400)

Current:
- 1 Charge of Ankh of Reincarnation to your base
Items required: None
* Disappears upon losing all charges
* Aegis Charges stack

Do you want Aegis to be reborn, or stay like the current? Or make a better version?

SnY benefits is just right for a 5100 gold.

Aegis before is really abused.

Definately remake sny, but only for about 5-10% higher maim chance.... it is not a stat boosting as some because it is a fairly cheap build for the all-around goodness (i.e. ms, as, str+)

Being able to buy multiple charges of aegis would horrifically change the way the game was played. That's not how it's supposed to go, items like bfury would be bought hella more jsut to be able to farm for aegis charges (i.e. Invulnerablity)

agree with killmore, you really want clinx with agies/divine bak? i think it is fine as it is and s/y is still a good item 10% maim is good, it is a very powerful orb once it comes off.

btw cookie it wouldn't "horrifically" change the way the game is played, it used to be like this, the only down side to being able to buy agies is that you get the imba's of clinx etc which were not solved by making agies undroppable.

In da Aegis, I prefer these properties.
- +10 Armor
- +2X% Spell Reduction (I can't remember the exact spell red.)
- 1 or 2 Charge of Ankh of Reincarnation back to base
Items required: Scroll(2000), Cloak(62X), Platemail(1400)

1 charge so not to abuse XD, or maybe 2...

I keep on hearing in other forums that SnY is really benefited by these heroes:
Stealth A., L. Druid(solo), Lycan, Kardel(pubbies), Veno(pubbies), Morph, Yurnero, Troll W., PandaREN, Gondar, Davion, Omni(pubbies/chase), Void, Anubarak(some), Razor, Abaddon, and Nevermore(some), To be sure of what I heard.

That's like... 17 heroes out of 80+ heroes... I got nothing. Maybe boost AT LEAST the stat gain to 20 str and agi just to be fair. I forgot to mention Barathrum

IMO(only me and some people) :

HATE SNY. spreaded yet minimal effects. better invest on a skadi with good stat bonuses including int. frost attack is yet more reliable since it occurs on a 100% chance unlike maim which has a low chance of triggering.

the only thing SnY has that EoS doesn't is the added movement speed, but EoS already has slow, so, why bother?
(no offense to SnY lovers)

also, previous aegis cannot be dropped nor sold so, it basically gives protection when the charges are all used up, which, you can use that inventory slot for a better item, the current aegis is much better already, also comes with gold from the "weaker" roshan.

those are just my opinions though.

why do u love using aegis so much??? what's the real deal???

afraid to die??? not so confident about your skills???

i hate aegis, i wouldn't bet a game on aegis... it's really not the fairest of all items, that's why it shouldn't be remade..

it should stay with roshan...

about S&Y??? it already gives the right amount of stat boost, and speed boost, plus its maim for the right price.. nothing against it..

SnY is fine as it is, It's an easier to build version of skadi.

I admit that I was disappointed when Aegis was given to rhoshan but it was a good choice. Aegis made games drag on forever since heroes almost never die, back then in the day of the aegis people rarely go for MKB and Buriza because Aegis Rapier owns all. In fact any DPS hero can own with Aegis Rapier.

off topic :

i once played bloodseeker on a 4 on 4 pub game and has 3 aegises, 2 vanguards and a BoT. they couldn't kill me without the 3 or 4 of them ganging on me(they still couldn't because of the enormous number of reincarnates i have lol.)

I think both items are fine!You could just spam aegis and not die...It's better now on every 30(?)minutes from Roshan.Sange yasha is good the way itis now.

s&y is fine, aegis is fine but not the roshan is i think roshan must be stronger before, players abused aegis, now they abuse roshan for ex. ursa can kill roshan easily by lvl 10 or sth

The first aegis actually gives u 11hp/sec regen, armor, spell reduction, 4 charges of full hp mp, etc2. (on 5.84 and 6.0x IIRC). And that was really crazy.
