it is kinda hard to say that a permabasher is good against another permabeasher, because when they square off, usually the one who gets the first bash usually wins, so not including permabashers i would say that Morterd is an imba late hero.

That's wrong concerning the Phantom Lancer thing Vs Mortred+Battlefury : Crits don't work on Cleave/Splash Damage, only direct hits, so against 10 illusions (always up at late game) she's screwed, been there, done that. She better blink away fast on some ennemy creeps if she wanna live (if she still have mana to do so, with manta style burning mana on ALL 10 illusions.)

Concerning the Raigor / Phantom Lancer counter at Very Late game, well Raigor has always been the greatest counter to Azwraith, hands down, but the more the game goes very late, the less it become true. Try to own lancer 10 illusions with 5000 HP (Ultimate build : BOT, Manta Style, Linken Sphere, HOT x 3), even with illusions taking triple damage, 5000 HP is still 1700 REAL HP on all illusions and 5000 HP on Azwraith. Contrary to what people think, Azwraith plays better as an ultimate tank/pusher and mana burner/harrasser than a 1vs1 fast hero killer (thought you kill everyone fast too ...)

Been playing him almost exclusively for more than a year now, tried all the possible builds, multiple butterflies, buriza, etc ... and no build is as effective as the one I gave. In fact the more you have high base damage and the less it's effective for your juxtapose, as you kill creeps faster, so you actually land a smaller potential number of hits on each creep, they will die too fast and you will spawn less illusions, as illusions are based on a percentage probability, so the number of total hit matter more than the actual damage.

With only manta style agility bonus and linken sphere +15 agility as an upgraded damage base (and +20 agility stats bonus at lvl 25), you can GUARANTEE that you'll have 10 illusions with you after ANY creeps wave and everytime you cross an ennemy, and then it is GG. The first thing that happen with such a build is that first, nobody know who you are, with 5000 HP total hp, nobody can see who is you and who is not as all your illusions survives even the worst accumulated aoe and their HP bar goes down very slowly too. Then nobody can know who you are also based on the attack speed because with no aspd enchancing items, they all stike at the same speed (only agility bonuses transfer to your illusions, including damage, aspd and armor), so basically, nobodies know who is you, and believe me, if you can micro as well as me, you can render peoples SO VERY CLUELESS and WITHOUT dopplewalking.

Now, based on that, about raigor ulti, once you have your 3 HOT and the rest of the build, if you know that you're going against him, just keep your manta style up, don't use it, wait till he ulti and keep striking him even during the ulti, it will eventually pass, leaving you more than half HP and some of your illusions alive (but as you kept hitting him you'll have them all eventually recreating even before his ulti is finished) THEN even if he know who you are and he start pounding your HP into the red, just use manta style right now, and dopplewalk away leaving at last 4 1700 HP illusions hitting on him and mana burning and auto recreating, while you have your "Portable fountain" from the 50 HP/s regen coming just from the items bonus of the 3 HOT + linken's sphere regen (added to your ultra fast natural HP regen boosted by the +110 Strenght bonus of your items giving you a ridiculously high total HP regen ...), let your illusion auto recreate around him and mana burn him to zero, and follow him invisible till he finish all your illusion (well, if he's still alive after that, last time my illusions killed him after his ulti while i was watching ...) the time your 12 seconds invisibility is finished, you'll have regened lots of HP, open up next to him with a lance and start hitting him, he will stun you and run away because he's almost dead (but he move at 40% less speed because of the lance), make your illusion follow him, and dopplewalk again as soon as you go out of the stun, catch on him (with 10% more speed and BOT) and finish him with a lance.

honestly, I still have to see someone resist phantom lancer handled by experts hands with this build. the problem is that if the others know their shit and know lancer's potential, they will NEVER let you reach this build and Lancer is quiet quiet shitty weak at the beggining of the game, he's a very very very late gamer. But the best late gamer.


I'll try to upload some amazing games replay with him playing me and my clanmates 2 vs 4/5 others and owning them, to show you how you can multi-push all lanes on the map using BOT and good micro skills, and still trashing anyone you cross. You just can't die especially with dopplewalk (and no, people don't carry gem in very very late game because it's screw their items build with only 5 item spaces ... and with THAT MUCH HP, gems is not a problem anymore).

Maybe I'll write a strategy guide for Lancer, I find the ones on the site very incomplete, personnaly ...

nice post above, and yes putting that into a strat wud be good. Lol don't u jst luv it when a game drags on and ur pl, and u jst realize that hell things r gona be so easy in a few more mins. A niced thing to do with the build u suggested is to add a divine, dam the dmg really adds up for him, and as u sed, he is pretty dam near impossible to kill late game.

@ Fausty: lol funy u mentioned '(OFF TOPIC QUESTION)', caus thats exactly what i got 1 for (didn't realize it was such as no-no, but oh well, wasnt for swearing or something offensive/flaming) and so yeh, jst a warning to all the rest of u guys STAY ON TOPIC IN A THREAD!!! u'll get penalized and u'll regret it.
So to stick to my suggestion i'll add another late game IMBA hero:

-syllabear, honestly, this guy is the counter to late game permabashers, (lol u thought they were all the 'shite' late game), his bear pretty much guarantees 1 thing, u'll always be dealing dmg whether you are stunned or not, caus if sum1 like a permabasher comes in late game to kill u. They hav 2 choices,
1)take the bear, which means the bear simply tanks their dmg while u kill them, or
2)try to take u(and late game u shud be tank 2) and then risk getting their asses whooped by a hyped up, permabashing/rooting bear.
Only late gamers that can really beat him, are image late gamers (imo the tru late gamers), but if u dont hav one at this stage of the game, well sorry...ur gona lose.

Mortred's Crits can be counterd i'd say N'aix he's life-steal is insane late game he can't be killed because his health doesn't go down! But thts only if u have the right items of course. Dark terror is also an opponent to be reckend with, with his level 3 Chronosphere he can easily get a double-Triple kill. Bleh!

there's no imba heros just get a guinsoo and he is useless but i think PL is one of best (very good DPS potential with illusions , escape mechanism with doppelwalk and slow with the pole nuke) and the 2nd best is sylla IMO perma roots + bash/dps , it's a perma asher couter IMO =)

darkterror has passive evasion, which also stacks with nromal evaison.

30% +30% 60% evasion.

against perma abshers and 'mana hurting' he will win every time.



somebody mentuoned meepo, by far he is not a late. his 1280 combo wont work if mort just 1 hits one of them..

faveorite late game- terrorblade with skadi. all he needs really, rets is agility and evasion.
