Can someone explain to me how cold attack melee override cold attack ranged on ranged heroes?

thats just how the game works. orb buff placers is priority.

I'm a bit unsure about the cold attack thingy, but I guess it has something to do with Skadi ranged being based on the Nerubian Tower's Frost Attack and Skadi melee being based on Orb of Frost

whoa, could you please tell me if feedback really has an effect on ranged heroes? i was getting the impression of no for an answer as being discussed on strategy guides that ranged heroes could not use feedback.

according to this, feedback will work on ranged heroes (as long as another orb doesn't override it)

and according to the image thread, the mana burn will not work for ranged images

but bash is trying it now in game so we will see

sori for double posting. question answered already by greater bash,folechno with hybrid and ds.net chat.
it really works on ranged dpending on other orb effects.but images dont burn mana. Alien

Yes, you would get frost and lifesteal because satanic is not a buff placer

yes, because ranged skadi isn't an orb

so you have 1 orb, and 1 buff placer (which isn't an orb) so they will stack and work together (you will see the lifesteal attack animation but you will see the enemy get the frost animation)

Feedback (Anti-Mage)

Regarding the second chart (if I remember correctly), does that mean if Anti-Mage made the item 'Manta Style' before learning his feedback ability, 'Mana Break,' would he take 64 mana per hit or 32 (from manta). I know for certain that, if I build manta (or diffusal) after learning the skill, diffusals 18 mana burn or manta's mana burn will override anti-mages 64.

Anyone have any answers?

The mana burn you get last will be the one that works. So if u get all mana break then a Manta, only the mana burn from Manta works.

yes, its true.

if you learn his skill mana break first and then assemble diffusal or manta... feedback will reign. meaning mana break will be totally useless.

to avoid this, assemble diffusal or manta first and then learn mana break... so mana break will reign.

but these items are risky, you better make sure you don't drop them. if for example you drop diffusal/manta and pick it up again, their feedback will reign and put mana break to waste.
