Just wanna share my experience about maphack software. It really was terrible! I have nver ever used and tried maphack before. I have no idea how does it work or how to operate it.

My brother downloaded something on my PC and he saved it on the DESKTOP which I didn't know. Meanwhile, I was playing dota in GG Client, the game was finished, we won, then I closed/quit the warcraft console and decided to browse something first and check emails. I didn't close my GG Client console because I'm gonna play more. Here's what happened. The filename "DOTA_MAPHACK" on my desktop got my attention. I said, "what's this?? hhhmmmm..." So I double-clicked it. After few seconds something popped out, a small WARNING window, I know it is from GG Client coz the title bar looks red. It says there:

"WARNING: You are using a Maphack program, your GG Client username has just been banned and disabled. Please check with our Mods"

After I clicked OK, my GG Client console just closed itself. I'm nervous what has just happened. Tried to login using my username but failed. It says invalid username or password. Tried to restart my pc but still unable to login using my usual login id. I really regret what happened and I'm really disappointed with that. They should've just gave me warning first before they totally deactivated my account. Coz I'm already level 22 and it took me about 4 months to gain that experience in GG client. Also everytime I play in GG and the host tried to tunnel me, level 22 is quite intimidating . Anyway, that's not my point hehe, I know my skills in dota. It was just the level but my actual skills is really what matters most! I created a new account now hehe.. Just 2 hours of playing I'm level 3 already haha!! That was fast! I noticed that the more hero you killed, the faster/higher the experience points you gained, plus winning the throne/tree of life gives very high experience/level gain.

Just a piece of advice guys, don't you dare use a maphack software out of curiosity. Even in LAN games coz I know maphck works in LAN games. You're only cheating yourself not your opponent!! If you got used to it, I believe you'll gonna be totally owned in a normal game without maphack.. In pub, you'll gonna be banned for sure. Still I haven't seen and tested how it works. What for?? I can still play dota without hacks. That's why icefrog created Observer Ward

u dont get banned form Bnet but banned from a certain hosting blist system.

Ouch on You!


A Warning should have been sent to you rather than blocking fully.


Maybe they got tired of complaints about MAPHACK, so they made a decision to do that.

Some people are actually paying money to be gold members in GG Client, so they would be nervous if they didn't protect their clients............

So that's what happens when a maphack program opens eh?

I guess What it does is it will remove the fog of war on the map allowing you to see your opponent anywhere on the map even at their own base. In simple words, to anticipate ganks. Not sure if it allows you to see invisible units as well.

maphack gives you perspective as though from an observers eyes, YOU SEE EVERYTHING, which illusions are real, invisible people, people in fog.

BUT warcraft 3 doesnt see it, so you cant say target a spell on an invisible person because warcraft 3 doesnt thing theres a target there, BUT you can target an aoe spell where you KNOW there is some1

i feel pity to all dota player's who uses maphack
why won't people use a ward?

haha samething happened to me,not by mistake.i was curious about maphacks n wanted to test t out ultimately i was banned from gg.anyway i personally dnt believe playin with maphack s a good thing.but most of these maphack softwares do work with bat.net wat a shame.atleast gg hav protection over that
