actually go with something that can increase your HP damage
BKB is a MUST!!!
weakness:
he has low hp compared to other STR hero
he mainly relies on combination of skills
can't think of other weakness

Use bilnk dagger. If you dont want BKB..
Like kaizewr said BKB is must.

weakness of SK.
easy to counter his ultimate

I prefer getting eul to BkB. The purpose is to avoid his epicenter, right? If the charge's empty than upgrade it to guinsoo.

At this 1 on 1 case, it really depend on the user. If you can do last hit, deny n harass well then the sandking will be underleveled.

But if you don't have bkb or eul before he reach lvl 6, then you'll lost unless you're lucky enough to land a headshot while he's casting epicenter.

Both heroes have same quality to farm. SK-> Caustic Finale
Kardel-> scatter shot

I think SK'll win.

Items:
BKB/Blink Dagger
Skadi
Sange and Yasha
Power Treads
Monkey King Bar
Buriza

You must activate BKB during the time gap after you are burrowstriked and SK is casting epicenter (that 0.35 second gap when epicenter is still casting)
You will still be slowed even with BKB.
Remember that DON'T RUN when you are avatared. Just continue attacking.

I don't say you'll lose. I mean if I have to choose SK or Kardel, I'll choose SK.

Here's the reason:
Burrow then Epi is a classic way. If I'm the SK, I'll buy dagger. If SK cast epi on one side where he's unseen and then blink (use shift button so no pulse will lose) then attack you few times. If you haven't die, SK will burrow and attack you several times

i agree with yukino's build.. we have the same build..
there are too many weakness of sk..
item: BKB, dagger, euls..
hero: Naix, puris, blinkers, stunners..

SK is a hero strong untill the middle of the game because of low hp oponenet.You willfarm a lot more than him so you should have or linken's.The key with Kardel is to have mana for 3-4 assasins.(buy observer wards and some potions and bumBUM he is back to base and you farm in peace).So youll have the money for bashers and with BKB and that you will stop his ulti in the begining.Final hyperstone and the END.
