basically this will help more in your item choices and hero planning..

Sange and Yasha is one of my favourites with AG heroes that have low health for an early-game boost, especially considering the fact that they can be bought part-by-part (whereas for let's say Stygian you'd have to gather 1610 gold to get 1 part, you can get the cheapest parts of S&Y for just 450 gold) plus the individual bonuses are really great early-game...
However, the two heroes that Sange and Yasha really really fit to are Barathrum and Rexxar (The one with the throwng axes, don't remember if it's his name).
Just try Barathrum with Boots of Travel, Sange and Yasha, Hyperstone, Cranium Basher x2 and Monkey King Bar/Black King Bar/Linken's Sphere (depends)...

Sange and Yasha. I get this item for 3 main reasons:
1. The Maim for Chaser Heroes (Fast running heroes that can chase down a target)
2. Health for Agility-types
3. Speed for Strength Types
The Maim is perfect for heroes like Balanar and Stygwyr (Satanic is better though...), because everytime they maim, they can catch up to their enemy real quickly and real easily. Barathrum is pretty crazy with this with his Charge of Darkness, Greater Bash, and Haste skills.
The one hero whom i think gets the greatest benefit from this item is Banehallow the Lycanthrope. The speed adds up with his Feral Heart. And the Maim, along with his wolves and his Wolf form, can be chaotic when taking down a single hero. Add a Battle Fury and he becomes a hungry farmer. Give him Treads too, and he becomes one of the fastest fighters in the game.

i like using S&Y with omnikknight... add movement speed and slows enemy's since omnik doenst have any killing skills...

S&Y....near and dear to my heart...melee heroes without any orb effects or autobash should go for this early game. What I always do....*shrug*
best S&Y wearers imo: banehallow, balanar, rexxar(gives u time to setup axes better if hero is fast/ur aim isnt perfect yet).
I would normally say strygwyr too....but...my experience has shown that if youre going to beat on em until they try to run away and then use rupture its best not to have maim, especially if you specialise in ganking with it while ur friends wear someone down. You dont want em moving slower and bleeding less, do you? (unless their life is still high and u wanna chase...but why would u rupture someone with high life...so meh)
I remember making S&Y for drow as a noob...lol memories...

I think the best fit for Sange and Yasha is Stealth Assassin. I know it works well with other heroes, and its not only meant for SA, but SA I think benefits most with Sange and Yasha. Simply put you get attack speed, damage, bonus agility for backstab damage, mov speed(good with treads on SA). Also SA doenst have a whole lot of HP to begin with. So when I am SA I usually get treads then s n y, just with those two items, you got amazing speed and attack speed, as well as bonus damage on the chase. just my opinion

I agree thats its overated... People think its going to add hug damage on barathrum but in reality, its waaaaaaaay less...
And of all the orb effects, maim is probably the most useless... bashers are better!

To sum it all up:
-Don't buy S&Y for Range heroes.
-Buy for heroes with no chase skill/high Attack Speed.
-blah blah balah
-blah blah blah
The "better" dota player you become, the more "alternative" strategies you'll be able to experiment with, since S&Y is basically a attackmove item.
Try just for fun having euls for Warchief, use your stomp, hit a bit, chase, euls again and stomp = GG...
The enemy'll prob be very frustaded by your "lame tactic", callin you noob etc. (although in this case i don't think S&Y would be very useful for Bradwarden anyway but you get the point)

tried that ...not too bad...just don't buy BattleFury for tide cos it seems like he's always ahnchor-smashing but in reality its just the animation...

I guess S&Y is good for some heroes... But eventually it gets replaced... Unless you NEED the MS, you can find alternatives... The added attack speed is tiny, and if you were AGI, ther are way better orbs like Deso or Mjoinir...

I like using it on Syllabear, when you don't use him as a ranged fighter with his booster skill. He then gets so much MS and AS, that no one can catch you or realize how much you are hurting them. Of course you need damage items after but still great for catching and getting the hell out of places
