Noob item i wouldn't agree, over-used item ooouu yes. I mean there was i time i didn't get S&Y even to heroes that need it because i was pissed every time i ask what should i buy for this hero the answer was s&y i mean i've got a friend who gets s&y for every hero because the extra ms helps him escape and a another one who gets s&y on alchemist :S

But some heroes really depend on the item and should be a core for them, if u'r asking me thoose are mirana, troll, barathurm the old naix and several others

I like SnY on some heroes, it's amazing for chasing people down. And the great thing about it is you build it in stages (ie get yasha, then sange, then get the full SnY) rather than having to farm 3800 gold for a relic for radiance or something.

It's great on heroes that are chasers, and have their own innate speed boost / slow.

SnY is not a noob-item, like others have already said, it's good for newbies since it's an all-rounder item.

Nah, good to hero that need ms buff and slow on enemy. It's like newb item because it give attack and defend ability.

It compliments each other i.e ASPD+Maim=Minor Ownage. Therefore SnY is not a noob item you can put it on many agi heroes

I will execute Narnian justice on this item:

-it's not a noob item by virtue of the fact that you need to understand the item well to know which hero to equip it.

-it gets too much attention than it deserves: to say that it fits all [INSERT PRIMARY ATTRIBUTE] heroes is an overstatement. Sange & Yasha is not a generic/ubiquitous item like Ancient Tango of Essification.

-Sange & Yasha is not a hero, why did you post this in the heroes section?!!! Hysterical

As many have said, SnY is most definately not a noob item, the damage(for some) hp boost, aspd boost, maim and ms boost can turn several dangerous heroes into real killers. The true use of this item is its ability to be bought in stages, and depending on your needs (ie more aspd or hp) can really turn the early/early middle game around. So, most

SnY is good for some heroes but getting it for the maim is quite stupid, the stats are good but if u wanna buy it u shud consider the ms and IAS that it gives so if u are only buying it for the maim, u mite as well spend the money on something else. Anyway, hardly any hero uses SnY as a standard build, maybe more importantly Spiritbreaker. Juggernaut getting SnY is lame btw...i shan't explain but seriously it's stupid.

Maim is ok but, and correct me if im wrong here, but if you get it you cant get lifesteal items, corruption items etc...
Am i right or wrong?
Oh btw, if someone calls an item a noob item, wouldnt it be an item that is imba? like the rapier. I think that would be classed as a noob item. no orb effects, no str/agi/int hero consideration, just big dmg. Well thats my opinion. Confused

My friend said its not god for many hero because there's better items you can get. But it is sometimes a waste because the only real point of getting it is for the increase movement speed. So only heroes that need speed is worth getting it.
