with the recent nerf it isn't as good as it used to be...
but with the less recent buff it was nerfed from this is one of the best rush items you can choose for quite a few agi heroes.

Suitable for: Balanar, Spectre, Barathum, Razor, Gondar, Bloodseeker, Lycan, Morphling.

Easy item to farm for, max price at only 1000.
Recent buff from .49 to .51 makes it slightly better!

Useful for heroes in need of a disable and the extra chase speed. Maybe troll, morphling, lycan, potm, etc. Useless on heroes with slow and great move speed. I find it useless on ns. I've no idea why folks like it so much on him. Absolutely excellent item for razor and gondar too. Best item for gondar.

As long as ppl don't get s&y on Mortred. Considering what some of the other orbs can do for you.

And void usually gets mom which rules out s&y anyway.

It is a great item and easy to build. But , it has lost much of its older reputation and they improved it. You can use it in every agility hero that you are not planning to build Eye of Skadi.

definitely not a noob item.. 14% aspd, 14% ms, 14% maim... that huge man.. but i think it only suitable pretty well with few heroes.. balanar, barathum ,lycan, even kardel, sven or leoric would benefit from s&y....

but, personally, i rather build something else than s$y, MoM on barathum and lycan (insane attack speed), mjolnir for kardel..

it depends on how u play your hero..

O.o... SnY is like 1 of my fave items for alot of agi heros the maim=godly imo plus its really cheap with veno i can rush it to like lvl 7 but thats with my ownage farming veno
