STORY COMPETITION

now, because i am bored, because i want to see all of the good stories in one place, and because FF Dragon does this ALL THE -bleep- TIME.

i want you guys, to post a short story here.
unlike FF dragons crap, their is no gold involved, or results shrouded.

but, you must have a moral to the story, it must be at least dota/wc3 setting, and of course not plagiarized.

So, in the name of fiction, i command you to enlighten me with your tales of DotA!


No spamming, and dont do it chapter by chapter, these are SHORT STORIES, should fit onto 1 page with minimal scrolling, anything not related to the story PLEASE do in another comment.

there is no entry fee, and the only reward is the fact that every1 gets to see your story. (and depending on how good it is you may get gold donations [but not from me, for that it would have to be PRETTY ****ing good])

How about I start?

Sven was of Elven and Demonic origins. His parents were killed during an accident at sea and he was orphaned at an early age. There was one however, who took him in as his own and this was none other than Syllabear who was living at an elven fishing village.

Well, when Sven was in his teenage years, Syllabear taught him how to hunt through the use of melee combat. They started with kobolds, then gnolls, then satyrs. Eventually, Sven became too confident in his skills and decided to hunt something more powerful than the satyrs.

Sven wandered along in the forest that morning and saw a satyr but this was different from the rest, it was much bigger and had an unholy aura. A smile appeared on Sven's face as he said, "This is what I'm talking about!"

He jumped on it's back with a sharp stone in his hand and he slashed the satyr across. It gave out a cry of pain then his free hand reached for his back, gripped Sven and tossed him. Sven hit a tree with his backside and was hurt but he wouldn't give up.

He grabbed some soil from the ground and threw it at the face of the satyr who clearly saw this trick and dodged it with ease, it then ran towards Sven with his blade outward. It made contact with Sven and he was bleeding. Sven tried to run from this satyr but it was much faster than Sven so it easily caught up with him to deal a few more brutal blows.

It looked like Sven was done for. All he could do was stare at his impending doom coming towards him namely the satyr's blade. I was around an inch from his face when the satyr suddenly stopped. Sven looked at it hesitantly then punched it in the face knocking it over to reveal that an axe had found its way into the satyr's spine

"Th-this is..." Sven stuttered when he was interrupted by a different voice, "I knew I would find you here young one." Sven looked about and saw Syllabear. He gave out a sigh of relief and fainted right then and there, still bleeding and beaten.

He woke up some time later and noticed that his wounds were all stitched up and recovering. "Ah, you're finally awake Sven," said a relieved Syllabear, "That was a close call. It was a good thing that my good friend was able to track you down when it did. Otherwise, you wouldn't even be here right now!"

Moral of the Story: Know your limitations so you don't bite off more than you can chew.

Oh yeah, I just want everyone to know that I'm not really writing for the competition, it's just something I do for fun. Hey, I know I'm not as good a writer as flameseeker. Heck, I'm only 16.

I guess the title musn't be a competition coz I know DS mem story tellers aren't aiming for a competition. Keep them writing without any pressure like their usual way coz I like reading natural instinct stories. It gives the aura like it's really been written naturally..

*Drumroll please*

My story:

Once uopn a time, in a faraway land lived a immortal elf. He was the inventor of a machine that let u travel through time and space. He travelled through time AND space and arrived in the year 2008. It was New Year's eve and every1 was rejoicing. He felt stuffy and choked on the pollution there. In front of him lay a concrete stretch of land and he ran blindly across it( for he was bind, being the son of Magina and TerrorBlade-they were gay). His immortality had been snuffed out by the pollutants and a speeding vehicle hit him and he died, dispersing into the air, merging with the pollutants.

Moral: Be careful or be roadkill (this moral was actually the moral of Clavin in one of the Calvin and Hobbes strip)

Meh. That obviously wasnt the story but just an idea i got. The real story will be posted tomorrow. :DDDD

well not a competition, kind of a vote. i guess i will stop accepting entries feburary 1st, then i will implement a pole for a few week, screening the results, and then after all thats done, we find out who had THE MOST TOTALLY ****N AWESOME STORY!! then i do it again XD (you dont have to SPECIFY something as an entry, as they should be obvious by the little Moral: at the end[if you just wanna write a random story but dont want to submit it start your own damn thread!])

for the deadline, im gonna wake up on February 1st(probably in the afternoon), and im gonna turn on my computer, (eat breakfast, piss, blah blah blah etc etc) then im gonna post a comment saying 5 MINUTES TIL END OF COMP, and then in 5 minutes (no less, possibly more) i will implement a poll, so no spamming me or PMing me if you want your story in, just ****ing post it.

Or maybe instead of a story competition thread, you could just make another thread where peoples can discuss and vote on the existing stories, something like the grammy awards i saw in dotaportal.com =P...just my suggestion
