Circle of Summoning

Oblivion Staff [1925] + Void Stone [900] + Ultimate Orb [2300] + Circle of Summoning Recipe Scroll [1650]

An artifact used by summoners to serve as a gate to another dimension and allow them to summon creatures that will aid them in their fight. Grants 150% Mana regeneration, + 10 to all stats, +20 damage, and the Summon Familiar ability. Can be upgraded 3 times [Up to Circle of Summoning level 4].


Summon Familiar

Grants the user the ability to summon a Familiar. The familiar cannot be controlled and selected, and attacks enemies randomly. It can also cast Soul Transfer, which allows the Familiar to drain a target's HP and transfer it to it's master. The Familiar can move around the Master at a 500 AoE.

Target: n/a
Casting time: instant
Range: n/a
Area: n/a
Cooldown: 120 seconds
Mana cost: 200 mana
Duration: 30 seconds

LVL1 Familiar does 40-40 Hero Damage, has an attack rate of 1.4, has a range of 300, and has 10% chance to cast Soul Transfer for 50 HP

LVL2 Familiar does 50-50 Hero Damage, has an attack rate of 1.25, has a range of 350 and has 14% chance to cast Soul Transfer for 75 HP

LVL3 Familiar does 60-60 Hero Damage, has an attack rate of 1.10, has a range of 400 and has 18% chance to cast Soul Transfer for 100 HP

LVL4 Familiar does 70-70 Hero Damage, has an attack rate of 1.00, has a range of 450 and has 22% chance to cast Soul Transfer for 125 HP

*note*
The Familiar is like the wisps in Aiushta's skill "Nature's Attendants" or the spirits in Krobelus' skill "Exorcism". It cannot be controlled, nor can it be attacked.

uhm juniko??? have u forgoten the Oblivion Staff? it grants +6 int +10 damge +10% atk speed and 50% MP regen. and yet u only + 10 to all stats.. and the cost of that scroll is too expensive i think... it will be ok if u make it +20 int +10 to str and agi and the aditional damge is too low... make it +35 or +50 if posible... 6775 gold for that item?? too expensive... maybe i'll rather go for rapier if thats the price of the dream item.... peace! ^^

How about Refrsher orb? It has Oblivion staff in it yet it doesn't have the ASPD and INT bonus. And Helm of the Dominator. Where's the regen from Helm of Iron Will?

I removed the +6 INT and +10%ASPD from oblivion staff for balance issues. Why is the damage too low? Becuase of the familiar.
Take note that it is invulnerable and attacks with above average damage.

You can go for Rapier. *shrug* Much more expensive though. And it drops upon death too.

It chooses targets randomly.
So when there's only one target, it locks on and doesn't choose another one until it's:
A] Dead
B] Cooldown is over.

You should make the Summoned unit attack only heroes and will attack the enemy hero with the lowest HP.

very very good on krob and maybe dirge couple of others.

good item but i can't see it having major use.

I agree with Ghost. I don't really see the major use. Also I think this item is a stronger version of Necronomicon. What if the user has both Necronomicon and Circle of summoning? Too much units spawned. So I think that Necronomicon should be part of the recipe.

Also I think this focuses on the summoning part and I don't think you should need stats adding items. So you should be better off taking the Ultimate Orb and Void Stone. So now the money wont be just a waste. Though nice item idea. I think if it becomes balanced, it could be part of dota! Nice job yukino!
