Requires:
Quarterstaff (1150)
Boots of Elvenskin/Belt of Giant Strength/Robe of Magi (450)
Precision Recipe (800)

Gives:
+12 damage
+6 chosen attribute
+12% attack speed
+50 range

It's like dagon. If you buy the recipe again, it'll give you +50 more range, +2 damage, +2%IAS, +1 chosen attribute. Can only go up to level 4. Buying a second one when your first one is level 4 does not increase range any further.

changes:
changed price from 3350 to 2400
made the upgrade per recipe better

awesome! i was looking for an item like this. my only complaint is the "ogre axe" and "+strength" aspect. Would strength, melee heroes also gain range? You should only allow "Blade of Alacrity" and "Staff of Wizadry".

hmmm... but some people might want extra health even though they are long ranged. You don't just have to get Int if you're an Int hero. Sometimes you want something else, so I think I'll leave it in. I'll probably make it so that melee guys don't get extra range.

change the total price, it doesn't meet the requirements price.. it should be 3350

although this is a unique item, i don't see why players would buy this item, it doesn't give much for that price..

it doesn't pose any attraction.. it won't be needed unless a player just wants to try it.. no more than that..

now that it is a cheaper item it's more worth it. reminds me of "blade mail." something cheap you can buy early/midgame to give you that extra little edge.

This item would be very good with Dwarven Sniper. At level 4, he would have a range of 970. Nobody would ever reach him. Haha

lanaya could use this item. if she bought this item early she could forget about psi balds and up meld. she could be taking 400 dmg off at lvl 7 when double meld. thats not bad.

i was thinking. make the scroll cost something even cheaper than 800. like 400. just a thought.

yea, i think it should give a different effect for melee heroes though..kind of like...+50 range for range heroes...and +something else for melee heroes...but the price seems fine, except 800 for 50 range just doesnt exactly click as you add it...you should make reripe 1000 and have like +1 of your attribute for each lvl up...and make them changable like treads...


oh and +2% aspd per upgrade so you have total of 20% at the end...

+2% aspd= 20% lvl 4
+50 range= 200 range at lvl 4
+1 attribute= 10 attribute at lvl 4
+2 dmg =+20 dmg at lvl 4...

or actually i think thats at lvl 5...

this item is quiet interesting except that the game me a bit funny if you up grade this item 5 times some heroes would get an additional 250 range am I right? So pretend a str or agi hero that is melee gets this. So does it mean he/she would get a range attack now?

Methinks the range doesn't affect melees. I say that you upgrade a bit more than the range, I'd keep it to the damage and attack speed rather than also the stat increase (see Dagon).

hey, Cloudzstrife, you need to pay attention and actually read things. We already talked about melee heroes wouldn't gain range, and that the recipe only goes to lvl4.
