Ok. I am bored, and I thought of this while I was trying to sleep last night and since that took ages it has stuck with me ever since... so the only way to free myself is to make this thread! There, thats a load off my mind...

You find a glass of water. (Thats right, no other details) What is your reaction?

"This glass is half empty."
"This glass is half full."

But that would be boring. So your reaction could also be:

"Who put this here?"
"Why is there a glass on the floor? What happened to my desk?"
"Has anyone tested this water for chemicals?"
"This isn't water, its concentrated HCl!"
- "What the hell is HCl?"
- "Oh my god did I just drink HCl?"
- "AAAHH IT BURNS!"
"This is not my glass... Hello? Is someone else in here?"
"I want some Apple Juice..."
"Why is Shim's glass that weird peach color?"
"Water is not blue, who called this water?"
"Why is there a glass of water here and why is there a halo of light around it?"

Sooo. Feel free to add to this! Or just go 'Has Shim lost it?' But I'd prefer to avoid that second one if its all the same to you.

well I'm afraid my initial reaction would be skeptical as to the last action partaken by this hypothetical glass.

depending on which action has come last will determine my response.

someone drank from it. - half empty.
someone filled it to half way. - half full.

i am very sorry shim i had to go and defeat this exercise with logic.

Why it's water in a glass not a glass covers water? Is it HCl or H2So4 ? Which one it has most, adhesion or cohesion? It is liquid or transparant solid? lol

its a glass of water.. placed on a floor or a desk i think..

the glass is half full.. the water as can be seen is stagnant, meaning its been placed there for more than a minute..

the glass is transparent, water doesn't seem to be cold for it might have had drifts on the glass. the glass looks cheap but classy.

like this thread, i think the person who took the picture of that glass of water is also bored..

well DUH, if you just magically appear out of nowhere and stumble upon a glass of water, you IGNORE THE GLASS OF WATER, and try to GTFO of there!
