Lion - using Mana Drain for lane control and regen 17-3

In the past few versions some players complained about Mana Drain being silly and worthless, and that led to Icefrog buffing up his 3rd spell. Now it's a powerful skill mainly for lane control, and with Impale-based spells being recoded so that heroes can chain their Impale skills, this replay is a glimpse of how Lion could stand in future games: as the predator who loves doing it over and over again.

going to watch it soon probably.. can't download now cause i'm not at home... but anyways.. i never knew that mana drain got buffed!... mind to tell the improvements? thanks in advance

Mana for ranged creep increased 200 -> 300

Mana Drain Level 2 - 10 mana, 650 cast range, 800 AoE, enough for Lion to absorb mana while behind the melee creeps, free from harm. Needless to say lvl 4 is even better.

Impale - works with other Impale spells like Anubarak, Sand King, Leviathan, Earthshaker. It's now possible for a target to be Impaled twice. If you played the previous versions everytime you try to Impale a unit twice you get the irritating message - Impale cannot be casted on that unit.

Finger of Death cast range 700, more than Lina's Laguna Blade 600. Not even Mirana can leap away from her impending death. Die while you are in the air!

i really don't get it..

i love using Lion, not because of his ultimate, but because of his mana drain..

its so easy to harrass and get a kill using him..

that becomes easier now that he's buffed..

omg i just finished watching the replay... wth.. lion had NO mana regen items.. and his mana was almost full throughout the game.. scary...

hardly will work, very low number of heroes doesnt have nukes/stun. and sine lion is no soloer, he's probably gonna face non-soloer

Once Lion Mana Drains, it lasts until the target moves beyond 800 AoE of Lion.
