correct build for str?

correct build for str?

i'm moderately new to dota (been playing since 6.4 and i try to master one hero at a time, (storm spirit, then lich, then abaddon, then shadow fiend, then crix, now i'm on obsidian) and i've been playing a lot of -ar. am i ok in thinking that a standard build for all melee str would be...
-vlads
-treads
-bfury
-heart
-basher
-basher

that's usually my bread and butter, and i haven't had many problems yet, anything special i should get on certain heroes?

not flaming u men, but your build sucks, thats your build to almost any hero?
you have 2 bashers but, you have no attackspeed, and not all melee should have bashers and vlad, some melee should get satanic rather than vlads, if you want permabasher you should have high attackspeed, and you almost have no damage, 34x2=68, from basher + 65, from bfury + 10, on str treads + 12 on vlad, + 20, on attribute = 163 damage. and you have lack of attackspeed to bash your enemy, so better change your build men, and goodluck

There is no definite build for any hero...

In choosing the right items you must play to the heroes strengths & weaknesses.

If your hero has a cleave skill, then go for battlefury(s) and damage

If your hero has lifesteal, crit or bash then go for attack speed and damage, mainly attack speed for bash.

If your hero lacks hp then buy them some extra hp (usually vanguard or some bracers will do.)

If your hero needs to chase, then consider a MoM or SnY

If your hero makes images then tank up

Etc etc...

You must also develop some situational common sense....

If you are up against nukers then get a HoD or Linkens if they have devastating targeted skills

If you are "squishy" then get a dagger or Lothars for escape.

If you need to stop them escaping then get a disabling item, like guinsoo or euls

Etc etc...

There are many more things that could be listed in my post but what i've said should give you the essence of what an item build is all about...

you can also look at the Strategies section

they will help you alot

also, twin bashers is generally a bad idea, 1 basher is enough (although one basher should only be acquired on few certain heroes, not all)

for str heroes,i think HoT is the only standard item ppl will get it on tankers.anything else depend on the situation..there's lot of flexible way u can play dota...most important,have fun!~~

yup, and it depends on your enemy, twistedfire saids all,

and i only get bashers on [str heroes, bristleback, pandaren,] but only 1 basher is enough,

you can't really have a STANDARD build since all heroes are different and all have different strenghts and weakness

it depends on what type of hero you have and the situation of the game your in . . .

well normally what i get for str heroes varies alot... depending on your hero, if your hero has low AS then dont go for basher go for something increase damage, HoT is quite a good thing to get as almost every single str hero i use i get one lol. I sometimes get BoT instead of Power Treads cuz that IAS and plus 10 stats isnt that useful late game. So i suggest BoT as it makes you move faster and teleport!!! Save my life many times :P

Hey dude. If you like str a lot a very good item is always HoT. Battlefury is only for amazing for (IMO) Magnus and Sven pretty good on pit lord and Crixalis.
