How to Update your Net Cafe with the Newest Version of Dota

This is one of the problems many Dota players encounter in internet cafes -- not having the newest version and not being able to update it because of network restrictions.

Well, there is a way to get around it.

Go to the Downloads section here or www.getdota.com to download the latest Dota Allstars. Save it in your Desktop. Now, go to www.winzip.com and install their trial software. After doing that, open Winzip and drop the Dota Allstars x.xx.w3x file inside the window. It will then ask you to give a filename to save the new archive. You can name it dota.zip. Now, click the Extract button in the Winzip window. It will now ask for the path to put the file in. Click on the Start button and look for the shortcut to Frozen Throne. Hover your mouse over it to see the path where the installation is.

For example, if it's installed in C:\\Program Files\Warcraft III\, type:

C:\\Program Files\Warcraft III\Maps\FrozenThrone\Download in Winzip, then click OK. The new map should be now accessible in Warcraft. Have fun!

Actually, even if it's not my Internet Cafe, I'm the one who downloads the map and copy it iff there's no latest map, heheh.

my net cafe sucks, they disabled the feature to allow u to download and view desktop.

hehe! that's also when I played on a Cafe called Acclaim. I don't know if it's popular here in Philippines but they disabled the My Computer, My Documents icons, etc. ^^,

The owner of the cafe where I'm playing is always lazy to download, so I'm the one who's doing the work.....

hey this is basic computer stuff but...now you've taught every 10year-old down how to do this kinda stuff...i see a new pandemic...10 year-old's saveing their fun at internet cafes...old woman coming to read mail from their grandchildren in Timbuktoo(thats West Africa) then finding 10 YEAR-OLD NAUGHTY SITES EVERYWHERE!!! ZOMG IT'S EVIL THINK OF THE GRANDMAS DREW!!THINK OF THE GRANDMAS. I'd remove this if i was you...so many heart attacks...

Lucky for u guys u jus put the map in maps section then done.. it took me 1 month to find out the way to fix it something like click the map in maps downloads but wen u click it, it goes back to LAN area so annoying,,
