I can't beat beat my Brother in dota he always buy 2 preservance and linken pls help how do i beat him?. pls help pls help pls

Well his items are stupid... I suggest going silencer with Treads 4 Null talismans and a Guinsoo, later trade the nulls for shivas, orchid, and linken.

heh, first of all whoever mentions permabash...is a noob. Don't resort to annoying lame tactics (which dont even work that well). Picking a nuker will have no effect considering he can buy his two perseverance's at the very start of the game. It wont help when he can regen that fast. Picking a late game hero is a good option here. Just play the game until your dp's are so high his regen will have no effect.

-bleep- me up, i went arcanes etc but got thrashed by all that regen.


probably your best bet if it is random is first ask for mm or sh so its the same hero, and then buy 3 ring of hp to match the hp regen and you probably wont need the mana. then go dps, you will have more money to start the dpsing
(also deny hard so he cant get his regen, atking him is useless so just rape your own creeps in the butt)

Considering it's ar and 1v1, try to play a hero that's good midgame or lategame. If not, repick. Because you start with 4k gold, it gives a huge advantage to later game heroes. Thiese are generally agility and strength heroes. Exceptions in int heroes are Obsidian Destroyer and Silencer. They are good late game as well.

Start off with some basic regen (read 4 sets tangoes which give better regen than an RoR) and 2 stout shields. Yes you can buy more expensive stuff but save your cash for the big things. Go power treads immediately (preferably strength for the hp boost) and ifur a caster type hero, go for void stone or an arcane ring.

Plan a big item to build up to (butterfly or heart or radiance or whatever). Start farming the lane as well as the forest beside you as much as possible to get cash. In a one on one, almost definitely the guy with more awesome items wins. It's also easy to farm coz ur not afraid of getting ganked in the jungle. So use that o ur advantage.

I'm not a pro so please feel free to correct me if I said something wrong.

P.S. If you are really afraid about your health early on, get a vanguard, boots and void stone/energy booster.

if he owns you he gets insane regen

oh wait forgot i'm suppose to help you
anyway try to pick a counter to his hero
don't type -repick right after getting your hero since he might also -repick which means if you -repick first he can still get a counter to your hero
aside from that don't hesitate to much since it is a 1 on 1 game there won't be any ganks or stuff like that,there also won't be any runes since its -np

to be honest, ur brothers build is not good at all if thats all the items he gets... linkens is only good in blocking TARGETTED spells, and his HP regen wnt save him much. IF you happen to get a sad Int hero whom skills are all targetted, go for higher DPS not nuke spells. HOPEFULLY you will win *wink*. but if u get someone AGI or STR that has AoE spells then ur brother should lose.

If he's not pro try something a bit more useful than "go dps"
@ topic starter: dps = damage per second so attack speed and high damage, maybe critical strike (Buriza) and lifesteal.
Against regen like that go PERMABASH! (lol lets hear it... NOOOOOB) but the guy isnt pro so permabash FTW! Only people that get pwned by permabash cry about it. Just buy two cranium bashers and the get attack speed.(hyperstone)
