SMOTA!!!

hey, has anyone ever heard/tried Smota? currently they're at v0.94 beta, its Very similar to dota.
106 Very original heros to choose from, and the game is more about your skills, and less about items (while items definatly matter just not as much as in dota).

Its a wc3 map btw, idk if this is the right section for this thread? but w\e

post comments about it! (sorry if it sounds like im promoting it.. =.= )

It undermines Icefrog's influence. Anyways, when was the debut of this... SMOTA?

idk, i think sometime in 2007?
its not bad, its a good alternative if your bored, latly ive been playing alot of island defence, and while waiting like 10 min for a game to show up..(i cant host =.=) i saw smota, and im like..wtf?

I played a game of SMOTA today...It sucked because the heroes are very imbalanced, and the creeps are very imbalaced too, apart from that its a funny map.

icefrog didnt start dota,eul did, and Eul started AoS which is the basica idea of dota... =\

Hmm really ? All I can say is that smota is definatly worth a try in my opinion takes some getting use to , if your willing to give it a chance instead of bitching about and saying its imba. Also the latest version of smota nerfed the chaos peon if anyone wants to know the range has been drasticly reduced. So just hearing that gives me some hope that this map is going in the right direction. Anyways thats just my opinion on the whole matter, but only you can be the judge of whats good and whats bad in your opinion.

maybe.. when dota started, there were still many heroes who were imba. but that's why it reached 6.57b because of constant changes to make all balanced..

smota maybe is still at that stage where some are still very imba and needs to be changed..

i have never played smota, but if given the chance. i would definitely try it.
