Revelation revealed by the dawn of night
Devastation exposed by the break of light
Life is proven to be just a ruse
Embraced by the naive and unlucky few

The moon turns black, population sleeps
Poor wife yearns as her children weep
For the father they never had
Tear-stained eyes, kids oh so sad

Midnight comes and creepy things creep
Looking for kids huddling like sheep
Given license to kill one night of the year
Every body knows they need rightfully fear

For when you see the shifting of moon
You must face your soon-impending doom
Now I jump the gate, no longer wait
Soon you will meet whatever God you may

Standing inside your dreams, nothing's what it seems
This killing addiction feeds, gives everything I need
Knife unsheathed, I murmured some hum
Drive it through your heart as death quickly comes

The sun comes up as your body's bagged
They see you dead but everyone's glad
They survived the night and have nothing to fear
Until I come back some time next year
