some people's probs about meepo...
Posted: Sat Aug 30, 2008 1:28 pmwell........I posted this coz I saw some people telling that they can't use meepo well...I also started like that until I learned a few things from my friends and I learned a lot now!!!
POWER OF THE TAB BUTTON FOR MEEPO:
you can use the tab to switch from meepo #1 to meepo #2 and so on...by doing this, you can evetually switch from one meepo to another...and you can also use poof and the net effectively by doing this trick...
to make it easier, you can put your ring finger at the tab button, your middle finger at the E button (for earthbind) and your pointing finger at the f button (for poof) and your thumb at the alt button (to see their hp)...you don't need to press a now because you can press right click to attack them anyway...
for your combo, press the following:
E-F-tab-F-tab-E-F-tab-F-tab and chase down and repeat step to kill but without f coz poof's cooling down...
looks like a cheat in PS2 or 3 but it's the way to kill with earth bind poof combo...this was the one that I mastered ^_^
next one is: THE CLICK-THE-FACE-OF-MEEPO THINGY!!!
you do this when you have hard fingers or when your fingers are as slow as rhasta with no boots and was attacked by an omniknight with a skadi and with lvl 4 degen aura....
to do this, just keep your fingers at the a button (ring finger), e button (middle finger), f finger (pointing finger), and alt button (thumb)...
this is the way you do it:
E-F-click meepo #2-F-click meepo #3-E-F-click meepo #4-F-click at meepo #1 then just go for the kill when enemy survives the to net enemy down, just repeat it but without any f coz poof's colldown is quite long...
the click meepo's face thing is quite hard to do...
well that's it and I guess I have helped some DS members ^_^

Another way to micro meepo is:
click on your main meepo:
Then,
Shift+keyboard no.1
You have just gave your main meepo a shortcut of number 1.
Click on your second meepo(clone)
Shift+keyboard no.2
You have given your second meepo a shortcut of number 2.
It is up to you to give the other meepos their respective numbers.
Now with this total control over the meepos you can perform your combos:
1-EF-2-EF-3-EF-4-EF
and so on. The advantage of this is that if one of your meepos is damaged, say, the fourth one, you don't have to tab through the other 3 just to select him and get him back to base. Just press 4 and back to base.
With this technique, you can also have a shortcut to select them in groups, or in a whole group alltogether.
For example. For team 1(first and second meepos)
You can select both of them and then press
Shift+no.5
This gives the first team a shortcut of number 5 on the keyboard(not keypad).
Then you can do the same for team 2 by selecting the third and fourth meepos and giving them shortcut of 6.
Another commonly used shortcut is
Team 1 for the main meepo and Team 2 set for his three clones.
And now the most important one:
Select ALL your meepos and type
Shift+7
Now you can select all of them by simply pressing number 7. No more Moving your mouse and having to select them manually.
This can be utilized by people such as Syllabear or necromonicon users.
PS. Man, I should write a guide about this xD

Very nice, could be neater though. This should help my brother who tried to make a solo Meepo build.

Oh, and I forgot to mention something else about the shortcuts I just said. When using syllabear and your bear dies and gets resummoned, the shortcut needs to be reset. Not sure for meepos though.

It doesn't need to be reset for Meepos. I used this countless times. It work great. I just use Ctrl 1,2,3,4 for the Meepos one by one and ctrl 5 for the whole group.

You can also use F1-F4 for the selection, this means you can use 1-4 as team selections (e.g. first and second meepo, third and fourth, 3 clones, etc). As for what i do for meepo i e click then move close tab e click poof tab with all meepos=mass dmg approx. 1000dmg at lvl 16. If you have problems dying early game I would recommend creep pulling this avoids early ganks(watch for if they leave lane 2 get you) and allows a semi solo. As for skill build geostrike is very good early game as his base dmg is 34-40 so it can be increased to 64-70, then max poof and net getting geostrike after. Mek, Tread and vlad are my core items usually followed by a skadi or a heart depending on enemy heroes and other factors. Those are just a few tips on using meepo efficiently
Back to top
i think the most efficient way in using meepo is through tabbing, like unknown said.. me, i used to do w/ E(earthbind) then right click as an attack mode or just take a forward through your target, then tab again then E and so on..
by the time you could caught your target and hit him w/ your 4 meepos he will really take the slow movement. and that's the time you could easily net and net then poof.. as long as you could tab your clone or the real one, you could easily see the spells cd.. then just repeat it. just don't forget your tabbing it's the most efficient way to micro meepo.
i also suggest that if you find trouble when one of your meepo is in low hp, don't tab the target meepo then let it go back in some place or to heal.
the tendency w/ that is all your meepos will do the same action/command you made, because they are in one control. (coz of tab) just click the face meepo upper left of your monitor screen, it's a one control command not affected by the other. hope i help. :p
