School in America and School in The Phil

Hmm I Hope Some American ppl can answer this

So We Know that The school in the phil is 2 years more advanced than in America Anybody Know Why?

Like HS in phil starts in 12/13 while HS in america starts like 14/15?

Or College in the phil starts like 16 while it starts on America like 18

Anybody Know?

So I guess, elementary took like 2 more years in America.

And BTW, here in my place, most 17 years old are 1st year college.

You have to know the difference between year 0 and year 1 in uni. Some people take year 13, others only study in high school up to year 12.

In Hong Kong, we begin high school at 11.

In the US, they have elementary->middle->high school, middle school being 8th-10th grade, as opposed to elementary->high school here in the Philippines with elementary reaching 6th/7th grade.

private(well most of them i think) phil school=7th grade then HS

Since I'm from Malaysia with epic school day..Wait im getting out of the topic..

Malaysia school = 7.00am - 12.30pm (For friday its 7.00am - 11.30am)

Filipino Schools(Especially My School)

Preparatory

1st Year High School

College
(It varies from 2 months to 6 or 10 years)(Yup that's TRUE! 10 Years!)

Our sched is like this(for us, special science curriculum): 7am-6pm

Where can you find a school like that ey?

Elementary:
1st - 6 yrs old
2nd - 7 yrs old
3rd - 8 yrs old
4th - 9 yrs old
5th - 10 yrs old

Middle School:
6th - 11 yrs old
7th - 12 yrs old
8th - 13 yrs old

High School:
9th = Freshman - 14 yrs old
10th = Sophomore - 15 yrs old
11th = Junior -16 yrs old
12th = Senior - 17 yrs old

That's for NORMAL SCHOOL AND NORMAL PEOPLE...I got an advanced class...so i skipped class...that's y im 18 and already 2nd yr college...

AFAIC...Phil school has 1 less class then we do...my dad went thre...
