Question - Skadi + Deso = Waste of Money??

Ok, here's my question:

Eye of Skadi is not an orb for ranged units, right?

So, why is it that for (put ranged Hero name here - I used Nevermore), after owning with my EoS, I get Deso, and no long have the frost effect? Isn't that what they're referring to, when they say the EoS is NOT an orb, it's an innate frost ability? Shouldn't you be able to frost AND "desolate" the armor too, since Deso is your only orb?

Please clarify if you know, thanks.

Corruption is an Orb Effect [de]Buff.
Frost attack is a [de]buff for ranged units.

Warcraft Engine only allows one buff placer per attack on a target.

QUESTION:
Isn't Searing Arrows a buff? Why does it stack with Skadi?
- Searing Arrows does not place a buff on the target. It's a buff on your attack.

Ranged Eye of skadi is not an orb but only stacks with some orb effects

Unfortunately EoS doesn't work with Desolator,like Yukino said.But it does work with S&Y(quite useless most of the times).
