The Best Team Formation

Posted: Fri Mar 02, 2007 11:03 am

Which one do you think is the best formation:
1. 2-1-2
This is the most common formation, two pairs and one solo hero.

2. 1-1-3 static
This formation use two solo heroes and trio at one lane. Great for killing and the leveling of the heroes'll be faster if use correctly.

3. 1-1-3 dynamic
This formation use 3 solo heroes while the others moving around and help on ambushing and killing heroes from one lane to the others.

Nah, which 1 is the best, or do you have any better formations?

I would not recommend having 3 heroes in one lane, as it will greatly hinder your leveling. 2-1-2 is good.

If you have two pushers, you can place two in the mid.

2-1-2 is best. Coz in that 1-1-3 thing, the problem would be that 3 heroes level slower while you only get 1 hero to level faster. Not a good bargain.

If we're talking about lanes, then IMO the best would be 1 in the lane nearest your team's Secret Shop, and also make sure that this hero would benefit from the Secret Shop (and also if he needs to levelup ASAP, like Pudge). Then 2 in mid, coz creeps come out faster there, so you can put heroes that need decent leveling, and should most likely be ranged. Lastly 2 at the other lane.

When I play N'aix I always go the mid lane though, with a ranged teammate. Faster levelup, and I won't be harassed much since I have a partner. (Soloing a lane isn't really recommended, as N'aix will be targeted always.) Then when I get to level 7 I start neutral creeping, all the way to level 10. Which also helps my lane partner get more exp in the mid, and what happens is that We're both at level 10 and our lane opponents are at 8, or maybe early 9.

I say level 10 coz that's when I start to hero-kill with N'aix. Anyone in the mid lane is a great target, as long as I have enough room to chase. Suddenly me and my lane partner are at level 11 and our counterparts are stuck at 9. The ownage starts from there. Smile

It's not so easy to face against 3 heroes in a lane. The usual trio combo is Vengeful Spirit, Sand King and Rylai. Once you trapped, you'll die and with your high skill on last hit and denying, you can keep the creep near you tower. You can also bait the creep by hit the neutral creep then run to the lane while the creeps is moving. I've seen so many 1-1-3 replays, both static and dynamic. Without any ward and great coordination you'll lose soon. The weakness of this combo is a very high technique and coordination. If you do it well, then you three'll leveling faster than the two enemies. I hope I'll post one of the replays soon.

Wow 1-1-3. I see. But there are another weird combo. 0-5-0. Rhasta, furion, enigma, tiny, chen. Very hard to use though. Require very high team work. And also too riskful. Once u win, u will win but once u lose, u will lose. I once saw the replay. Unfortunately they are lost due to too recless at mid. But the idea is cool. Not recommended for league though. lol

0-5-0 is highly not recomended. Although you can push one lane 'till the barrack, you still have chance to lost. The reason is the exp and money. Your enemies' level must be higher, moreover with one lane destroyed, the enemies can farming without feel scared to be ambushed. That's why in pro replays, last hit is important. If the tower destroyed earlier, the enemies will be easy on farming, on the other hand, you and you allies will be more fragile to be ambushed.

Nope, destroying 1 lane is enough to provide you enough money. And also the level is gained by always gang-ing every hero in that lane. Of course need super team work.
However it's true that this is very riskful....
